I suppose that is true, I don't know much Spanish at all so I couldn't speak to that. In other race-related discussions and events etc. that I've attended that's generally the term used. I don't know if it has something to do with nonbinary genders or maybe if people formulated a strong argument for Latinx over Latino but that was the reasoning that was given to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'll look into it.

People who tell you to use Latinx and not Latino are either non-Spanish speakers or just plain dumb imo

Poll could really use some work. Hispanic and "Latinx" are linguistic classifications and not races, and neither is "Asian ("Middle East")", the middle east is ethnically diverse and includes arabs, kurds, whites, and native middle easterners (Mizrahi Jews, Assyrians, etc.), none of who refer to themselves as Asians. South Asians (Pakistanis/Indians/Bangladeshis) are absent from the poll, as are Turks, Arabs, Filipinos, and several less populous races (IE: Aboriginal Australians, Native Siberians).

Personally, I am a member of the bronze race.
