As someone who loves to hike, California and Washington. Northern California has incredible mountains, as well as Yosemite, but I honestly think the Olympic Peninsula is the most beautiful place on Earth. The isolation and enormity of it is just staggering.

Haven't had the pleasure of visiting Wyoming yet, but I imagine it's pretty amazing also. Same goes for Montana and Alaska.

I lived in Phoenix, which frequently hits 120F +. Yet I remember in Mt Vernon, north Virginia, we waited outside for three hours in the 98F plus humidity. It was worse then the hottest days in PHX.

Our heat is oppressive. I mean, in many parts of the summer, just abysmal.

Thankfully I live in alpine Flagstaff now.

You'd love Florida. Specifically North Florida. You haven't lived until you've played a game of football in 43 degree Celsius heat with a humidity of 100%.

California. Weather is nice, and the scenery is nice once you get out of the cities. Also the food. Large immigrant/minority populations = large variety of good food.

Mississippi is my current living place, it sucks here. Too hot, too humid, no real winter, idiot people, Bible Belt god obsessed idiots, everyone is poor. Now, Oklahoma, thems good people.

Mississippi has the lowest median household income. Arkansas recently became the state with the 49th lowest median household income.
Of course, even when Arkansas had the lowest, it was still better than Mississippi.

Always remember, no matter how bad you are, there is always someone worse; unless you are Mississippi, then no one is worse.

The few times I visited Cali, I wasn't impressed with the food. There was plenty of variety, but the quality was incredibly inconsistent.

After a certain point, I get to where I'm too fascinated by the amount of snow to be annoyed with it. I mean, it just changes the whole landscape.
