According to the NHC it's now a tropical storm and it's supposed to make landfall as a cat 3

Goodbye Irma, hello Maria. Our PM's wife's name is Maria. So in our country everyone's saying: "Maria ah come for Gaston." Irma may have ruined our properties and effed up our lives but she hasnt ruined our sense of humor. Lmao! No but seriously, I cant wait for hurricane season to finish. The shop shelves are empty af.

Also, poor Dominica.... yikes. The last time they got rain.... rain alone, a lot of people died. I really dont know how they're going to survive a hurricane.

It just became a category 5.

The Hurricane is currently between the island nation of Dominca and the French overseas island province of Martinique. Or 25 km. (15 mi.) ESE. of Dominica and 70 km. (40 mi.) North of Martinique.

The projected path of Maria right now from what I saw from the Weather Channel has the brunt of it swooping away from my area.
That leads me to worry about all the Caribbean countries that keep getting hit by one hurricane after another.
