Black metal is arguably my most favourite genre. Following that, I'm a fan of other metal subgenres, niché hip-hop (à la Flatbush Zombies or The Underachievers), psytrance, indie rock, post-punk, post-punk, shoegaze, and sonic blasphemy, such as Stalaggh.

Politically, I try to distance myself from such absurdities due to my philosophical and spiritual leanings, but I'd argue I'm more of a slightly socialist, left-leaning centrist who can argue for the pros of fascism or anarcho-primitivism.

I love multiple artists from multiple genres and multiple languages. My two favorite artists are Susumu Hirasawa and Kikuo. Susumu's uses many different styles so he's not one I can put into a box. My favorite song by him would have to be either Guts' theme, "Aria", "Hai Yo" or "Indra". Kikuo is also a bizarre artist whom can only be described by his songs. He doesn't sing, usually he uses Vocaloid (usually Miku) or has Si_ku or Hana-tan sing. His songs often have a dark/sad meaning despite often sounding cheerful, so don't say I didn't warn you. I suggest "Substitute", "Mr. Morning Mr. Night", and "O Light". Other notable artists I really like and songs to sample from them are Machigerita (Vocaloid user, horror based songs, "Coffin of Sweet Death"), Masa-P (Vocaloid user, pop-sounding songs that warning- are usually at least somewhat sexual. "Ergonomic Hero" is one that isn't, and "Gang Attack" only somewhat is because of the video.), Insane Clown Posse (horrorcore rap, they have no filter. "Sleepwalkers"), GHOST (Vocaloid user, 1920's-ish? sounding music, "The Distortionist") and I've started listening to Fintroll.

Favorite genre in general is baroque, organs and harpsichords are lovely. But I have a love for opera, military marches, and symphonic and church-styled metal. Also a love for tribal sounding songs.

Favorite song is "Coup d'État" by GHOST, a military march instrumental.

My political beliefs are odd. I'm a Mussolini-style fascist. In America. On the left-right scale I'm a centrist. Pro LGBT+ (including nonbinary), literal equality between men and women, and would prefer religion not dictate laws despite being religious. Focuses on nationalism by culture instead of race. However, very jaded over Middle East immigration, a corporatist, and really hates globalism and the European Union. Even more against Shariah law and SJWs. Loves the military and police. Somewhat-likes Trump despite not being a Republican, hated Clinton with a passion.

Classical, classic rock, melodic metal and I am "centrist" whatever that means, to center right. Somewhere between classical liberalism and right populism.

I like baroque too it's probably my favorite sub-genre of classical, but I'm very selective about it, because if its not done well it can sound busy or even annoying and all works start to sound the same.

I'm on the loosely defined ultraleft/left communism, and if I had to choose, my musical taste seems to be a cluster centered around progressive metal. But as I've gotten older I've become less and less sure about my musical tastes. When I was a teen, I was band-t wearing metalhead. Ten years later, and I'm starting to think nostalgia is getting into my musical tastes, because I listen to a lot more of the 90s/00s alternative was quite common on the radio, in movies, pop culture etc. in that period.

Libertarian socialist and stalwart Independence supporter— personally I like Scottish folk music and playing the bagpipes, although good old classic rock is not that bad. My favourite band has to be Runrig or the Corries

I listen to a lot of grunge and politics-oriented punk (Against Me! in particular); I'm also quite fond of some of the (relatively) newer artists in the rap scene today- Vince Staples, Denzel Curry, Isaiah Rashad, etc. Politically, I'd say I'm in a weird void between anarchist and Luxemburgist.

Mostly classical music and traditional Christian hymns, also marches, ragtime, and German or Central European folk music. Also, as an admirer of Asian culture, I sometimes listen to Asian classical music, like guqin, yayue, and gagaku. As a guilty pleasure, Mando-pop, K-pop, and J-pop :lol: :oops: .

Politically, I am a communitarian conservative Christian socialist. On the political compass, I am described as "Authoritarian left", but really I not really leftist except in a purely economic sense. A more accurate description would be culturally conservative and economically socialist, or "red Tory". Also, I agree with much of Confucian political philosophy.

Folk fans seem to be disproportionately represented in this thread for some reason.

Not saying overrepresented, just disproportionately represented.

I have never, and I repeat, never met a single person in my life who was willing to admit to my face the type of music they liked was folk. Not on any one of four continents.

I like different stuff. 70s and 80s are one of the strongest for me - not really any particular genre, although the harder the rock e.g. metal the more I'm repulsed by it. Artists I like from this time include Elton John, Erasure, Depeche Mode, Eurythmics, Denise Williams, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Supertramp, Duran Duran, Tina Turner, new songs then like Kokomo from the Beach Boys and Loco in Acapulco from the Four Tops, people like Cameo, Aztec Camera, A Flock of Seagulls, Electric Light Orchestra, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, and others like ABBA, George Harrison etc. Basically anything with a good beat, maybe some synth or at least something to make it interesting, and with clear-cut vocals and a melody. Disco, synthpop and just general retro pop I would say are the best genres among these artists. I like 90s too, people like Mariah Carey, Annie Lennox, etc but also 2000s and 2010s stuff like S Club 7 (emerged in the 90s I know, but became prominent in the early 2000s I think) and Gorillaz from later on. I even like stuff this year, for example from Dan Auerbach and Arcade Fire. Just eclectic really, although the characteristics I like in a song I described before still apply.

Politically, I'm a liberal socialist.
I don't have any energy for sig creation rn, I'll do it later. ;_;

Lots of epic music and stuff like that. Really though, I don't listen to music. My political beliefs are a bit odd, in real life I'm socially left leaning, but online I'm kind of on the right center.
