The Falklands are British territory, and the Falkland Islanders near universally (with the exception of 3 people) all agree with British rule. Not only does Britain control the de facto and de jure ownership of the lands but it has a clear mandate from the people to be there. Thus it is British in every possible consideration of ownership and right to ownership.

Not to mention that the Argentinians have barely ever had control over the islands, the United Kingdom claimed and settled the islands long before Argentina, or even the United Provinces, existed, and the Argentinian claims are largely unfounded, and unrecognized by the international community, which is what recognizes sovereignty.

The very ideas of the Malvinas is mythical.

I am curious how Argentina plans to pay for an aircraft like the MiG-29. Their Air Force is bankrupt.

I think they will trade natural resources directly with other countries - instead of money - to pay.

They did propose doing this a few years ago with Russia for Sukhoi SU-24s:

Just because they'll both be training on T-6s does not mean that they'll "have an idea" of the flying skill. The T-6 is built for teaching Flying 101, simple things like take-off, landing, basic navigation and, instrument flight. Things like air combat are taught to pilots on different aircraft and are more dependent on the people teaching it than the actual planes. I'm doubtful that the Argentinian Air Force has the same level of knowledge and resources to devote to training as the RAF.

In addition a large factor in pilot skill is the amount of time that the pilots fly annually after they train. I don't have the numbers for but I'm doubtful that Argentina can afford to give its pilots the same amount of annual flying hours as RAF combat pilots.

As for the planes that they'd actually be flying in combat if Falklands 2.0 were to happen. The current backbone of their force or upgraded A-4 skyhawks, which while a great light attack aircraft, are rather lacking in terms of air to air combat ability. The Argintinian's Skyhawks also lacking in spare parts so they aren't exactly in flying condition. For new aircraft I don't think Argentina has the money to go through with the purchase of the FA-50s (Not to mention that the UK might use diplomatic pressure to block such a sale, FA-50s use American parts), and even if they did manage to buy them the FA-50 is just a jet trainer with a few extra hard points so it can pull double duty as a light attack aircraft. An FA-50 wouldn't stand a chance in a dogfight against the RAF's Typhoons or the F-35Bs that the RN will soon be operating. As for the Mig-29s, I'd put the Mig-29s as a more plausible sale and a more credible threat, but even still I'd place my money on the British coming out on top. They have the better aircraft and better training. I've also seen references to Argentina possibly buying Chinese FC-1s but I don't think they'd fare much better than the others at countering the British fighters. The Argentinian Air Force, like the rest of their military is a pale shadow of their 80s self.

The MiG-29 is a lightweight multirole fighter (with a focus on short-range interception), not a bomber. It has a 2100 km FERRY (not combat) range with drop tanks (1500 km without). Considering how a trip from Argentina to the Falklands is about 500 km, they hardly place a significant threat to the Falklands and the Eurofighters stationed there.
Unless Argentina is planning to build a carrier, that is - which somewhat I don't see coming right now.

The argentine Government has neither an true interest nor the means to invade the Falklands.

The argentine military is in a very sorry state, and this is not going to change anytime soon.

So, to summarise:

1. Argentina does not have nor did it ever have a valid claim on the Falklands.

2. The residents of the Falklands do not want their islands to belong to Argentina.

3. Argentina has no means to invade and conquer them.
