Then we hear of the Harry Roque-Taiwan situation. Can China just fucking lay their hands off of Taiwan? They haven't managed it in decades because it runs itself. Taiwan has a whole government. It's not like China's going to gain that much from Taiwan.

I'm pretty sure a good majority of Pinoys are really unhappy with the PRC anyways and would prefer Taiwan

Some people I know are using this as justification, saying ABS-CBN deserved it for being biased. Well, this shit's been on the waiting list since 2014 apparently and no one decided to renew the franchise, way before they said bad stuff about Du30.

This is the biggest fucking news network in the Philippines and Duterte wants to shut it down for some pathetic and petty reason. That shit plainly doesn't cut it. It's not teaching them a lesson either. If they wanted to teach them a lesson, take legal action, don't go and shut it down.

Also, it seems what the NTC did was not exactly lawful. If they were to put out a cease and desist order, they should have informed the target network with prior notice.

I for one, refuse to see our country being led down into an authoritarian path

Unfortunately, ABS-CBN was also coincidentally shut down during Marcos's time. Not saying that Duts is like Marcos, because I'd say he's pretty okay enough, but there are some parallels.
