They do. Lawful orders are all that's allowed to be obeyed. The reason the UCMJ specifies this is so soldiers can't say "Well, I was only following orders" as a defence. Therefore, it doesn't hold up in court. If you obey an order to kill civilians, you will be tried and hung -- regardless if you were "simply following orders."

Canada was founded by the French and the British. They didn't invade Canada, they invaded the land which the First Nations occupied.

It seems the British Empire has had quite a few battles with French soldiers in Canada before the Paris accords that ended the French and Indian war and gave Canada to the United Kingdom.

Uhh. I think there would be quite a few months of false flag attacks and blaming months before the invasion, ala Iraq. It wouldn't be a direct overnight decision. we'd make up some bullshit first. Even Hitler was smart enough to make a false flag operation to make the case to his people before the invasion of Poland.

You have too much faith in the American military leadership. It's very dangerous.

Trump wouldn't be the first person to use the military to wage wars of aggression. Why didn't they stop the Iraq invasion, that was against the U.N. and international law. Why did they intervene in Syria and Libya? by international law those are both illegal.

I guess because the reality is, most people aren't willing to risk execution for the sake of a foreign country.

We didn't have a mutual defense agreement, ratified by the Senate and thus becoming US federal law, with Iraq, much less decades of close military cooperation and extensive international trade.

Trump: "If we have nuclear weapons why can't we use them?"

That comment alone should disqualify him as President but it seems many dont care and would rather have someone willing to use nukes and bring about the end of the world. If heaven forbid he became President the people at the nuclear silos should disobey the order and refuse to launch. I'm also convinced the media wants Trump to win because they would get better ratings with him as President.
