Netherlandish is my favourite language, followed by German. I really like my own language, though this is highly likely entirely because it's the language I just so happened to have grown up with. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoy reading about the history of the Netherlandish language and regard as a serious ambition to become a "Neerlandicus" (Netherlandish language scientist). I am currently learning German because I am a big fan of the German language as well, mainly due to music and theatre. Luckily, we have easy access to German television (ARD/ZDF), so I occasionally watch the Tagesschau or ZDF Heute, beside general programming (though they could do with less Krimis, if you ask me >.>)

I'm really into all sort of European languages. I would like to learn some Nordic or Slavic one but Hungarian and Albanian sound also quite interesting. My idea for the next month is to start learning French, Italian or Spanish. I would like to get to know one of these Romance languages to have a basic for the others from this group. To sum up, I really can't decide which one is my favourite but of course, Polish will always be the only one.
Learn Italian. Granted I'm biased, but yea... Learn Italian. It's supposedly the most basic and easy to learn of the Romance/Latin languages.

Personally, though, I prefer the traditional script. Mainly because its more fun to write.
To be honest, I also prefer traditional a lot more, for a variety of reasons. It's also a lot prettier.
Simplified is not as aesthetically pleasing - I guess that, along with trad's greater complexity, is why Chinese leaders still write their signatures using trad?

Otherwise, if you native language is Latin-rooted, it it could be tough due to pronunciation differences, but just keep trying, you'll eventually get it

Korean - definitely not up to native level but something lol
Japanese - intermediate, maybe like JLPT 4 level (I memorized all the vocab for it lol) but really idk I have a much easier time reading and writing it than actually listening and understanding it
Chinese - one year of a high school level class with a lot of ditching
French - bad
Indonesian - Saya tidak berbicara bahasa indonesia
Chinese grammar is actually really simple - learning to speak it isn't much of a hassle, I think. Indonesian also seems pretty simple, but I don't plan on really learning it anytime soon. French grammar is sort of annoying.
