What is a good Christian like to you?

Tell me NSers what you think being a good Christian means, and what does a good Christian look like to you? I'm not excluding replies of different faiths or lack thereof. I believe that one who acts like a good Christian is having a priority of relationship with God over rules and regulations. Pretty good, really.

Matthew 22:37-40, "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

That's it. The rest are embellishments.

A good Christian is a good person that is also a Christian.

One who follows all rules of the Bible, not just picking and choosing conveniently. Of course that means no one currently living is a "good" Christian. From a realistic prospective, a good Christian is one who does all they can to help others, and be as Jesus-like as possible.

Well for one simply human, but given there might be sapient species throughout the universe I suppose that definition doesn't count anymore.

Ken Ham would have you believe that all other species should they exist are damned to hell, but then again this is a creationist we are talking about. There was a Vatican astronomer who said they would be willing to baptize extraterrestrials if asked by said beings, but these two questions have got a lot of attention lately. For some reason the circlejerkers on /r/anti-theism would probably hope that if aliens somehow reveal themselves that Christianity would implode.

Someone who has the intellectual rigour to study and analyze their faith from the ground up, understand what they believe and why, and from there tailor their acts and words accordingly.

I don't think that, going by this definition, there are any good Christians.

A good Christian is one who loves God with his/her whole heart and loves his/her neighbor as himself/herself. A good Christian is also not self-righteous.

A good Christian? One that keeps it to themselves, doesnt try to tell me everything about the religion, and doesnt hate on gays and abortion.

A Christian follows the Biblical New Testament to the best of his abilities.

As a previous writer posted, he loves his neighbor as himself and does good whenever possible.

He loves God with all his heart, mind, and strength.

He is charitable and altruistic. He serves the poor, the sick, the orphans, and the widows, even if they are not like him, even if they are unbelivers, and even if they follow something he sees as abhorrent. He gives even to those who mooch and abuse.

He is a virgin until marriage and only has sex in wedlock. He is true to his spouse and would die for said spouse, and so too for his family.

He does not support elective abortion. He supports protecting all innocent life.

He forgives his enemies.

He hates sin but loves the sinner. He calls sinners to repentence, but he does not bash them.

He condemns and attacks those who claim to be Christian but preach blasphemy (e.g. Westboro Cult).

He prays.

He sins, but he strives not to repeat it. He knows his sins and fights them daily, and when he fails, he asks for sincere forgiveness.

If he goes to church, he forfeits ten percent of his earned income to the Church.

He obeys the law unless it forces him to defy the explicit teachings of the Bible and of Jesus.

He does not curse.

He does not get drunk.

He does not steal, lie, or cheat.

If he does cannabis or tobacco, he does so in moderation.

He attempts to dodge sin and hypocrisy.

He follows the Ten Commandments to the best of his ability.

A Christian lives his life in such a way that others may see him and think "wow, that's the kind of person I want to be, that's the kind of religion I want".

He hates a man's sins (and his own), but he never hates the sinner. He never allows hate for another man to enter his heart.

I must admit freely that I do not many of these standards.

One who doesn't try to shove their faith down everyone else's throat or make a big show of it. Faith should be something that inspires you to be a good person, not something you wave in everyone's face to try to make yourself look like a good person.

Allowing abortion =/= allowing innocents to die, and there's nothing wrong with homosexuality.

We're talking about what makes a good Christian here, and both Testaments in the Bible explicitly condemn homosexuality, so even if you see nothing wrong with it, the Bible does.
As for abortion, I don't want to turn this into a flame war, but I need to note that opposing elective abortion does not have to mean a total ban. (I, for example, support abortion in the case of rape and maternal endangerment).

Right, I consider a good Christian to be a good person that is also a Christian. Part of being a good person is not opposing abortions or homosexuality.

Well-behaved, pious but not fanatical, not actively demanding of others to convert to his faith.

Something I apply not only to Christians.
