So Vladimir Vladimirovich, I did my part to save Russia from evil Fascists. Now you better deliver, or else, I'm holding you personally responsible!

I made €14 a few nights ago from the very same investment. It rallied after a sharp fall, so I made considerable gains. Wishing you luck, mate.

As much as the Russian government sucks, I feel bad for the Russian people who will have to pay for the recklessness and stupidity of Putin's administration.

Why, they're doing great! If we're to judge by Putin's approval ratings, assuming they're real.

Economic warfare is arguably better than conventional.

Couldn't happen to a nicer government.

I bring to you LOSING MY RUBLES, a simplistic simulator detailing the fall of the Russian ruble. Take your seat in the Kremlin, annex Crimea, block Western Imperialist goods, and sell your oil all in the comfort of a pretty Google Drive spreadsheet! If anyone's interested in the maths behind it all, the strength of the ruble is cost of exports over cost of imports: cheap petrol means weaker ruble.

it is only going to get worse. With the normalization of relations between united States and Cuba the Vast oil fields off the northwest coast of Cuba will be tapped finally now that they can access the tech neccesary to deveople it. Fracking in US will ramp up quickly after January 1. With republicans controlling the House od representatives and senate the Canadian pipeline will be passed into law and more oil will be flowing south. gas is already headed to the $2.00 a gallon level now, Pipeline parts oders have gone up 250% and (8) refineries are on the planning board

I highly doubt this, Russia will do everything to get the Ruble back on track.

The last thing Cuba will do is sell its national resources. I think it's more logical that Cuba will exploit the oil fields with help of Venezuela.

I've exchanged a few hundred pounds into roubles but odds are I'll spend them at the Café Pushkin on a solitary Christmas 'Eve' lunch (emphasis on lunch).

Moreover, all the sanctions put on Russia are actually helping many of the US' and EU's 'economic competitors'. Recently, I have read that 'Russia's woes may be boon for Argentina'. I have also read that Kazakhstan is profiting from the sanctions.

Keep your wallet in your front pocket. Inventory the luggage you leave in hotel rooms. ;)
