Depends on what you mean by secularism.
If you mean generally being religiously neutral but willing to recognize religion exist and making some rules that accept that religious people will be religious and accommodating them sometimes is better for all of us. AKA winter breaks matching Xmas holidays and exemption from birth control mandates.

Ok I'm buying you a dictionary for Christmas.

Read the Constitution, it's not in there.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I guess we can add "the constitution" to the list of written works which you have never read, alongside the dictionary.

How is that relevant at all to the general principle of secularism? This isn't Fox News.

If we're taught theories that can be challenged by students freely, then it's bad because secularism. Integrate Church and State...wait...

That language does not say separation of church and state. It says 'separation of state from religion, but not separation of religion from state'. It also says that Congress shall make no law concerning religion. It is absent on whether or not states can make up their minds on the topic. The 10th Amendment (State's Rights) gives states the right to whatever right not held by the federal government. Thus, we can still be a theocratic (or secular!) country on a state level.

Secularism is good but state atheism to the point where non-atheists are persecuted and Christmas breaks are non-existent (saddest part isn't it?) is bad to say the least.
