This is why all YPG/YPJ/PKK fighters keep a weapon of last resort. They feel it's better to die on their own terms than be captured by ISIS, paraded in front of the world, tortured, and then killed.

None so far, but I doubt even ISIS would be stupid enough to kill him.

Given they've got nothing to show for, I'm quite sure they already did, even long before this hostage crisis began.

There's one of two ways this could go.

They've already killed Al-Kasaesbeh. Amman Hotel Bomber is executed in retaliation, the King of Jordan's alliance with Kasaesbeh's clan is weakened, and Jordan pours tons mite troops and aid into Iraq in revenge-fueled Hate.

They've kept Kasaesbeh alive. I consider this more likely because he's the only Non -Iraqi and Non-Syrian Bomber Pilot they have captured. Makes for good Propaganda, and makes for a good trophy. Besides, I bet IS has always wanted to free that Female Hotel bomber. If this is the case, they'll soon show video evidence of his well-being, and conduct a Prisoner Exchange at the Iraqi-Jordanian border.

I recall Lyrova's signature said he is a member of ISIS. He's CTEd now, though.

I also wonder what will happen to ISIS-chan once ISIS finally and inevitably collapses. Probably disappear into the internet as Forum people lose interest in her.

And hey Meffy, long time no see.

ISIS-chan will probably be repackaged, I suspect, as the moe anthropomorphism of Islamist extremism in general. She'll probably be used on 4Chan, etc raids alongside Ebola-chan and her older sibling, AID-San.

As for why ISIS-chan was created? The people behind ISIS-chan and the #ISISクソコラグランプリ hashtag is to display that ISIS does not scare anyone.

The message of #ISISクソコラグランプリ is “You can kill some of us, but Japan is a peaceful and happy land, with fast Internet. So go to hell.”

'Tomorrow will be sad but it will pass and ISIS will still be a big joke. You can't break out spirit'

Fear is the mind killer, after all, and these guys ain't letting ISIS kill theirs.

Anyone else think that Abe will use this as an excuse for the constitutional changes needed to bring Japan's offensive capabilities online?

Well, given that Abe isn't being sheepish about wanting Japan to be the military power that it should be and now the popular anger against ISIS, I wouldn't be surprised if he would.

I saw this on the news where they said "How Japan could become influential in international politics again" with shots of marching soldiers. Me and my younger brother automatically went "ooooh don't fuck with the Japanese."

The JSDF has 260,300 active personnel across all of its branches. That is a larger standing force than France, the UK and Germany. You wouldn't call any of those countries pushovers now would you?

For so long, Mankind has been plagued by division. Division by culture, creed, skin color, religion and nationality. These very divisions have been the cause of most human conflicts. But in the age of globalism, we can finally have that chance to implement a world government where all human beings are seen as equals. Isn't that what everyone wants? World peace? I do. You should support that too. It may not end all conflicts, but the reductions of Man on Man violence will be at an all time low when the entire planet gets administered by one governing body.
