^This.

Anyway, we aren't even sure that the Patriots actually deflated the ball. The balls can deflate the balls themselves, or someone unknown to the Patriots could have sabotaged them. We cannot just assume the Patriots knew about it. There are an endless amount possibilities that could have taken place. I've been a Patriots fan since '92 when is started watching, so I'm not biased towards the current regime. The way I see it, is that the Patriots did deflate the balls. And that's coming from one of the most loyal fans.

You're correct to an extent (if it wasn't the Patriots, nobody would care). But I hate the Patriots. So fuck them. Go Hawks!

And the Sports Science segment proved that it makes barely any difference and might've actually been worse for the Patriots considering the rainy conditions. This uproar is hilarious.

litloling. It didn't prove shit.

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/201 ... ll-hot-air

"Deflating the ball does give a team an advantage," says materials scientist Ainissa Ramirez, the author of Newton's Football, a book about the science of football. Ramirez says the slightly softer football improves the grip.

"Particularly during that game which was very rainy, it's hard to hold the ball, it's hard to catch the ball," she says. "So by making it a little softer, it's easier to catch the ball."

Ever play football? , a soft ball is easier to catch.

Small difference.

If you've ever held an NFL standard ball, it's softer than the shitty $10 balls most kids buy.

So that's what I mean when I say "soft".

Aaron Rodgers also said nothing of the sort. From what I read, it seems like he wants the upper psi limit gone, not the lower.

The NFL threatened to eject Marshawn Lynch if he wore custom golden cleats in the championship game.

I'd say performing activities directly aimed at giving your team an advantage demands a proportionate response and/or at the LEAST a proportionate objection.

The Sports Science segment also proved no such thing, and the Cheatriots deserve every bit of flack coming their way.

Whatever the Patriots may have done, I don't like consecutive SB wins, so I'm still hoping for a Patriots win this year.

((disclamer: If the league turns on its head and the Giants could ever have consecutive SB wins, this post is nul and voyd. In that precise case, I f*cking love consecutive wins.))

Yeah, look back through the history of sporting cheating and doping violations and see how well the "barely any difference" excuse worked. There's no two ways about this; if New England deliberately ensured the balls were deflated then they cheated and should be punished, because that's how it works.

Consider also that the Colts passed for 75% of their yardage this year.

I don't buy the accusations made on the Patriots deflating the ball. Anyway, we aren't even sure if they actually deflated the ball or if the balls got deflated themselves! Just dismiss Deflategate altogether! I think it was made by some corrupt NFL commissioner (Goodell) who wants to punish the so called "cheaters" like the Pats, or another wacko that hates the Pats.

Seriously? 12 out of 12 balls deflated, and when reinflated they hold the air. Whatever your on, send me some.

Because, y'know, the NFL really hasn't had enough high-profile controversies yet this season, so they clearly felt the need to create another to go along with the assault tapes and child abuse, that might overshadow the actual game at the time of year when the NFL gets the most media attention, further tarnishing the league's already faltering reputation.
