Turkey isn't in the Arab world...
The modern Turks are largely the descendants of Turkic migrants who originated in western China which spoke Altaic languages (that is, stuff like Mongolian/Japanese/Manchu/etc), as well as the indigenous peoples of the area who were gradually assimilated, who before then, I'm assuming, probably spoke Greek.
