In any case, I'd like Istanbul, because it would be a first for the Arab world. Then again, not sure how well that would go. Not even sure how well the ones in Brazil will go.

Tokyo already held it before, but they can afford it and they seem pretty stable.

Turkey isn't in the Arab world...

The modern Turks are largely the descendants of Turkic migrants who originated in western China which spoke Altaic languages (that is, stuff like Mongolian/Japanese/Manchu/etc), as well as the indigenous peoples of the area who were gradually assimilated, who before then, I'm assuming, probably spoke Greek.

Either Toyko or Istanbul, either one would be pretty damn cool to see. Honestly, regardless of where it is I just hope another network gets the coverage. The absolute lack of forethought in the coverage in 2012 was a complete pain in the ass in the U.S. And seeing commercials of whom won a competition before it was even shown, etc.

That depends on where one's interest lies. Personally I'm not really interested in historical stuff. Tokyo is much better than Istanbul in terms of looking, transportation, traffic etc.

Wasn't live, commercials every two minutes (fucking. literally.), and they played commercials showing who won before we got to see the event! It ruined the olympics for anyone watching in America.

I bet on Japan. Spain has too big financial problems, Turkey is still too undeveloped. Japanese are very proud, hardworking and organised, I'm sure they won't let their Olympics become a disaster.
I'm also curious about the hi-tech they'd use to hold the Olympics.

Turks and the Japanese are relatives. I don't know about the Japanese but Japan and the Japanese people are held in high esteem amongst Turks. A poll indicates that Japan is the most-favorable country in Turkey (then comes Germany and South Korea)

Yup, NBC really ruined the whole damn thing for everyone watching. They really shouldn't be allowed to be the network to show it again, as they handled it terribly.

Istanbul it's about time a Olympics took place in Turkey.

Tokyo would also be nice. But Turkey needs more attention.

We had it on the BBC over in Britain. No adverts. Maybe you guys should petition or something for a network like the Beeb.

Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear communist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a humanist.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible realistic egalitarian with several strong convictions.

We have politicians wanting to cut the already limited funding for the clearly socialist institution known as PBS. You really think we'll get a full BBC-type network anytime soon?
