Okay for murder capital I'm getting Winnipeg, with Edmonton coming second, and Halifax third

You make it sound like being the murder capital is a bad thing. God damn it man, it's one of the few things us Winnipeggers are proud of! I also think we're the STI capital as well.

You sure? I thought that was Edmonton, what with Syphilis coming back and all. They had hilarious ads about it.

Vancouver is the only major Canadian city I've been to, but I'm still going to say Vancouver. It's terribly expensive to live in, though.

It's the only city that's more expensive per average home prices than Toronto...avg. home price in Vancouver I believe nears one million dollars...I thought it's bad here at about $550 000 ~ :?

There were some pretty funny STI awareness ads in Winnipeg as well, except for the one that was a pain if you had to use the wash room. However, it seems as though you are correct, by 2011 records anyway. Edmonton, stop stealing titles away from us Winnipeggers and clean up your act.

I'd say it's either Ottawa, Montréal or Québec. Haven't been to MTL in ages though so I'll go with... Ottawa, it's freshest in my memory.

Out of the cities on the list I've only been to Toronto and Montreal. Out of those two it's defintely Montreal although Toronto does certainly have its charm. That said, I've spent a lot more time in Northern Ontario than anywhere else in Canada and I don't care what anyone else says, I really like Thunder Bay. On the other side of the coin, Sudbury is just really drab and depressing for some reason.

As I've only been to Vancouver, I can't adequately judge. But I did enjoy the few days I spent in Vancouver.

we used to vacation in Canada every year. Now that we live so close in an area that is similar in nature/environment we don't see the need since it is equally beautiful here. That said of the cities in Canada that I remember I really enjoyed Ottawa, it had so much to do but it wasn't all built up and congested. It was a city for sure but it acted more like a large town.

I've only been to Toronto and I was quite young when I went.

That said Toronto is one of my favourite cities in the world full stop, so I'd have difficulty imagining how Canada could top that. Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver sound cool but I've not been there and thus cannot judge.
