What dog do you like?

Postby Ranbo » Fri Sep 16, 2011 8:24 pm

Dogs are a man's best friend. There is no doubt about that. The thing is, there are about a million different types of dogs out there. What breed do you like the most?

I, for one, love Jack Russells. They are so small, cute, and just plain adorable. I have 2 and they are super aedile, and cool. Of course, my friends love terriers and Great Danes and all of those ones.

What's yours?

Other, one of these days if I ever get a place of my own I'd like a Blue Tick or a St. Bernard.

What dogs don't I like? Anyways, I'd still probably have to say that I have a particular affection for golden retrievers.

Well, I am a cat person, and have never owned a dog, nor do I wish to (nothing against dogs, they're just not my bag). But if I had a dog it would probably be a golden retriever: beautiful dogs with a great disposition (or so I hear).

My first dog was a beautiful cocker spaniel. Neighbor boys decided it would be good sport to shoot her through the chest with an arrow.

If I got a dog (it's always been the wife or kids who got them, and they often chose badly) I'd like a King Charles Spaniel. Bright, clean, obedient, and gorgeous.

From the list I would pick pit bulls, as they are fantastic. They are so affectionate and wiggly!

My favorite breed that I've had contact with, however, would be a French Mastiff.

What the hell? Why would they kill your dog? Did they go to juvenile detention or get punished at all for that?

Mastiff (any type), and Great Dane.

My Black Lab/German Shepherd mix that I had for 11 years died a few months ago sadly, but I do have another dog which is a Skye Terrier/Cocker Spaniel mix, but she hates my guts. Before them both I had an English Springer Spaniel and he was around since I was six years old, he died two years ago.

My extended family are familiar with Great Danes, and I have had extensive contact with Pit Bulls and English Bulldogs. Any one of those would do, but I would prefer the latter two. I like big dogs that I can train for protection. Small dogs are more portable and need less space, but they're only good for alarm purposes. However, they will yap at anything, so it is unlikely that you will not know when someone or something is around.

I'm a cat person of course, but I really like pugs. Something about them is just so appealingly stupid.
This was formerly a signature. One day, it may return to its splendid past. In the meantime, enjoy some pictures of my cats.

My favorite dog I've had is an Australian crattledog/Border Collie (and considering how she compares to the other border collies I've owned the cattledog half seems like the breed I find more endearing). However a Czechoslovakian wolfdog or German Shepherd seems like they'd be cool pets.

Small ones, preferably young too. They're the best for kicking. Old big ones are nice too, but not to kick, a calm old dog is the best kind of dog to have around and not kick.

Yuck disgusting. Everyone knows don't use sweet and sour sauce on dogs. You use good ol' fashioned steak sauce. Dog Steaks are best Steaks.

I was prepared to come into this thread and say something like a husky or akita... a dog that looks natural and has that intelligence and (at least a hint) of individuality. But then I saw the last option and, well, I had to pick it. Oh well.
