I don't really like clubbing. I'm usually the one dragged in by friends when i'd prefer to go to a late bar or pub. I do enjoy outdoor clubs, though.

Lol. Over here, 'outdoor club' usually meant a field between the train tracks and a river estuary. xd

I sometimes end up in a club. Usually it happens after hitting the bars already until 2/4 AM. By that time I tend to be so hammered that pretty much anything goes.

I wouldn't go clubbing for leisure, as I can't dance for shit and I don't like the loud music and crowds. And I wouldn't go clubbing to pull a date because (if I was single) the chances are I'd only meet other people who like clubbing. Pubs all the way!

One of my favourite activities. I used to go twice a week but it's gradually lessened as my bank account has depleted. Now I go about once a fortnight.

Unlike a lot of people who seem to go just for the drunk women, I go clubbing because I love the atmosphere, and I love dancing. I also love Jagerbombs, but that's secondary. There's one club which I'm pretty well known at because of my dancing, the bouncers don't even bother checking my I.D anymore.

This is me dancing at that club. The photographer spots me everytime I go. There was a brief period where my picture could be found on their site nearly every Saturday morning, but I don't go as much now. Been trying out new places.

I don't usually buy much to drink, just a couple of rounds of Jagerbombs and whatever shots are on offer. Sometimes I don't even drink. On the occasions that I do want to get wasted, it's pre-drinks all the way.

I do but I think the whole thing is overrated. I wouldn't ever go if I didn't get dragged in by friends.

One interesting thing about nightclub life...I managed clubs for 20 years and discovered that (along with many other far more fascinating things) the average patron parties for about 4-5 hours. When closing time was 12 midnight...believe it or not...people arrived at 8. When the hours were extended to 1 am, the action started at 9. Anybody agree?

While I haven't managed any clubs, I have thrown quite some parties and I tend to agree. Many people don't have the energy to party hard for more than 4 - 5 hours.

Well, I don't go that early, but I do often I party for that long. Most of the clubs round here open at 9/10. I usually leave to go to a club at about 10.30, and stay until at least 2 in the morning, depending on the club's closing time. My favourite place closes at 3am (4am occasionally). I once went to one place which closed at 5am, though that did take it's toll.

I would agree with your observation, sirrah.

Now that I think of it, people do tend to leave for clubs around 4 hours before closing. Though, that could be because that's when the last buses are....

"Clubbing" in fields? Oh yeah. In my truly mispent youth that was the norm. Closing time was usually when the cops showed up and everyone split in many directions. Another favourite pastime was taking a case or two of beer and a few buddies and driving out into the boonies to get drunk and pass out. Back when drinking and driving was a national sport. Thank all the gods that's long past.

I was personally cured of that recreation when we were woken by an ungodly roar. That was a train passing about 10 feet from my car. Hadn't noticed the tracks in the dark.

Never been to many clubs. The cons of living in a small town. Raves on tthe other hand are excellent and the club-like things I've been to were pretty good too. I usally get msashed before I go so cost isn't really an issue ;)

Eh, there's still throwing huge parties in trailer houses out in the woods. No harm no foul there, yeah.

I've noticed that most people, as well as most of my friends, only party for about four or five hours. I'll go from 8:00 until dawn, myself, but not many people want to go that far.

At first, I thought this was about that charming practice of seal clubbing.

Now, I don´t "club" a lot. I used to do it a lot, but right now I live in a more "pubby" city. My favourite pubs are called "Moria" and "The Shire" so go figure...

Do any of you fine individuals go clubbing?

I have, rarely - five times in my life. Never enjoyed it. "Music" I don't like, "played" too damn loud, and I really don't enjoy dancing or tight, overcrowded places. And the drinks are watered down.

Actually last time (3 years ago iirc) I felt sick after just 30 minutes of stroboscopic lights. Without any alcohol in my body. I'll never enter a club again... if not for some serious clubbing.

The kind of clubbing you do with a spade mashie, I mean.

I prefer a bar tbh, I can't really appreciate the mega upscale clubs and the more local ones are full of people under 20

if your buying I will have a JD and coke I guess
