Evolution is near-undeniably true.

No the creationist movement arose out of the ashes of radical politics and reactionaries warped by an authoritarian sense of nationalism during the cold war.

Only one is a theory and scientific.

Jack Holland wrote:Our current textbooks make Evolution seem like scientifically-sound 100% scientific fact

Which it is.

You must know some shit science professors who don't know what "theory" means.

Poorly supported? You do realize that evolution has been directly observed, right? And that evolution is quite well understood, right? And that we have a LOT of evidence to back it up, right?

But of course... Let's teach astrology, alchemy, etc. as well. We wouldn't want to brainwash the poor kids, right?

Oh, it can, but it's quite dispendious due to Equivalent Exchange. It also raises inflation!

Yes. I love to break it to you that there are many people who hold alternative views as to the origins of humanity. Saying "No, this is supreme scientific fact" when mr. Holland indeed mentioned that there are those in the scientific community who say otherwise, just makes you sound like a right-wing creationist whose every talking point is based on their personal interpretation of select scriptures. You may argue "my stance is based on science!" But again, there are many in the public, including scientists, who argue that evolutionary theory is not very scientific. "Undeniable" evidence and all.

It's just Texas being Texas. I don't like it, but there is little more than letting the state break off that would fix this issue.

There's no evidence to indicate any such nonsense.

The Tundra wrote:2. it is a origin of humans theory, aka creation theory

Wrong.

A. Evolution is evolution, not creation.
B. Abiogenesis explains our origins. And it's still not a creation theory because we weren't created.
