You’ve been complaining about steps to mitigate Covid spread since the first Covid thread.

He's reached the next stage of grief. I'm sure he's not the only one that feels like it.

An inability to cope with drastic, unrelenting change is not that uncommon. Some people handle it better than others. While we are a very adaptable species, the mind can sometimes struggle to catch up. Personally I don't cope well with moving. Takes me a long time to feel at ease in a new apartment/home.

hey that's a good point, if Lumen wants places and events to be as crowded as possible to feel normal you'd think it would be important to keep as many people alive as possible.

Which is obviously what San Lumen's been talking about this whole time. Those steaks used to only be a few lira but two thousand years of inflation will do that.

Public eateries of one kind or another have probably been around for basically forever. I understand that over 150 thermopolia have been identified in Pompeii, counters from which people were served drink and hot food ready to eat. But the particular style of eatery I described, which first gave us the word "restaurant", is relatively novel.

It seems obvious that we should, at the very least, wear masks until enough people are vaccinated.

Valentine finally gets an all-time high of 39.3 C / 102.74 F for his body temperature.

I am not worried too much if it is going to last a few hours. But wow, we can go this hot, huh.

Second dose, Moderna. Got plenty of water beside me, along with 6 doses of paracetamol at this point (2 every 6 hours).

To be fair to Lumen that is very often what happens. Not saying I agree with it, especially because I think masks and social distancing aphave shown to be a good idea in general… as is doing stuff remotely, but I can see people just stoping to care. Like with HIV, or Vietnam etc.

Vietnam was out of their control and HIV was the gay disease so that made it easier to do that.

Covid has solutions to reduce it.

I think the ones who don’t care are rather small in numbers. Most if not all are the FREEDOM! and the anti-vax types.

Have you checked that paracetamol dosage with a doctor? I thought you couldn't take more than 8 individual paracetamol in a 24 hour period (unless you're counting each single paracetamol as a dose).

I'm slightly surprised you're online. My temperature's been over 39 a couple of times in my life; I couldn't have operated a computer either time.

Perhaps get some rest? Hope you feel better soon.

Ahh, the math kind of works, I suppose!

It says "Not more than 8 tabs in 24 hours", and I am taking 2 every 6 hours, so... 2 x 4 = 8, it works out.

That and I thought to myself a few times that post-COVID society is not going to be the same anymore. Of course, basic hygiene is not to be abandoned, but will we feel strange without a mask, or sanitising on a constant basis? What about crowds, will we feel comfortable again? Even if in some distant future that we have eliminated this virus once and for all, the stigma is going to stay with us for a few years at best.

All of this is my own speculation, mind you. I am not saying this is going to be a definite future where we are still fearful, or fearless. Could go either way.
