So regarding that assumed generalization, FYI, there is a fact called Panislamism. Islam at the core of its doctrines supports the notion of a world-wide Islamic State. Sounds familiar? It is also a self-proven fact that Islam possesses a more aggressive mindset even from Christianity. In 2016 (nearing 2017), we're still talking about the killings and a potential religious war instigated by a pan-religious, armed, fundamentalist organization. And ISIS is just todays news.
Christianity (and the Western world in general) passed through its violent adolescence after the High Middle Ages at most. Islam.....(still) not yet. So, judging from all the barbaric incidents that continue to happen by Muslims in the present day, I say that the Western world is....somewhat justified for having this opinion.

I think I will personally disagree with the idea that Islam hasn't "reached adulthood" yet because ISIS is a tiny tiny tiny _tiny percentage of all Muslims worldwide, and you say that Christianity has moved on from "barbarism" when Joseph Kony's LRA is still alive and the Ku Klux Klan still has active members.

How about you take some refugees in? They need to respect the rules of the countries they're immigrating to. That's right, immigrating. They're not refugees when they cross an entire continent because they're not being given benefits in Greece or Turkey.

I would if I could and if my country allowed it, honestly. Because I don't see it as taking in a couple of Syrian Muslims, I see it as taking in a couple of human beings who need a new start in a place that isn't actively killing them.

Firstly, the Ku Klux Klan are protestants, not Christians. Secondly, I knew 100% the LRA would be brought up. I could list 10 relevant radical Islamic terrorist groups for every one RELEVANT christian terrorist group you can bring up. Hell I'll do it now.

Your premise is faulty: Globalization does not require monoculture. It simply requires tolerance of the differences between people of different origins.

The problem is when it requires tolerance of cultures that are largely opposing towards the modern western culture.
