I’m just wondering, does anybody else do anything similar? I haven’t seen many people do it online so maybe there might be some people on NS who do this as well.

Soviet one was actually the one that sparked my interest. Became a meme in my school and then it just went to союз

Ah, yes, a fellow anthem memorizer.
I've learned the words to the German, French, Belgian (in French and German), Dutch, Italian, Russian (current and USSR), Canadian (in French and English), British, Polish, Spanish (the original anthem, but it also got rusty so now I hum), American, Philippine and Chinese anthems.
I'm currently memorizing the South Korean, Australian, New Zealander, Belgian (Dutch, if not correct then it's Flemish) Swiss, Soviet, Russian, Swedish, Portugese, Mexican, Brazilian, Greek and Japanese anthems
So that's 15 anthems. Add the one's I'm attempting to memorize, then it's 26.

Ah, I also forgot to mention that I'm memorizing the second verse of East Germany's national anthem.
No Gestapo, only Stasi.

Some I can sing are, beside the Dutch one, that of Germany, East Germany, the Soviet Union, the Russian Empire, Denmark (royal anthem), China, Japan, old South African anthem (die Stem), the EU (if Ode an die Freude counts) and (forgoing national anthems) the Internationale in Dutch, English and German.
