Why even bother playing Overwatch then if you don't get any satisfaction out of the squad play and the scoreboards? Most of NYXL and Seoul (not counting Xepher) are actually super nice. It's mostly the Western players who are rude.

The FGC is kinda like that, except a lot of people don't mind the cockyness. It's kinda like pro wrestling where people play up the drama and the spectacle of it all. Trash talking is encouraged, since it can be very funny. It's a bullshit parade, and people tend to love it.

Of course, then you have idiots that take it too far and start believing their own bullshit, like Low Tier God and Dark Syde Phil.
