I rarely watched anime and it's kinda safe to say that I don't really enjoy them.
But, the last anime I watched was, bear with me, some Doraemon movie about saving a world filled with intelligent animals (and definitely better in preserving the world than us humans do).
I don't really know if you would call it anime, but it is an animation from Japan, so I guess it classifies as anime...

I found a Young Jump Magazine from the early 2000s, some Kannagi doujin with surprisingly good quality drawings, and ancient Sailor Moon fanzines. This country's bazaars never cease to amaze me. It's like Afghanistan but instead of flintlocks and Victorian-era rifles they're old otaku stuff.

Oh and now that I have free time to read things that aren't related to historiography, I'll likely read Cannon God Exaxxion. I like Kenichi Sonoda's works.

Just finished Kino's Journey ( 2017 ). Gotta say, while I enjoyed it, it didn't have the atmosphere or focus on philosophical and morale ideas that the original did. I think they were overly focused on aesthetic tbh.

Trigger and A-1 likely don't have the guts to have the mains in the show actually fuck You' probably ll have to be content with doujins.

On this topic though, I'm curious as to how many anime protagonists have gotten canonically laid during the events of their show over the years. I can think of only a handful that I've seen off the top of my head and none of them are very recent.
