Personally, as an AOT manga reader, I feel that the story has progressed so much beyond where the Anime currently is, that I'm not sure what there is to discuss about. I already know what is going to happen during this and the next couple of seasons - little point in fan speculation, unfortunately.
I do like that they stay very close to the source material though, unlike some other anime adaptations.

Maybe because they only have 12 eps to work with, and the arc after the current anime arc is 50+ chapters. (To put this in perspective, the entirety of s1 only covered about 30 chapters).
