Got lots to talk about, so I've split into two sections!

Commission and AHOTW
I finally finished Demi's commission! Now I can focus on the AHOTW more!

Speaking of which, I have already drawn a couple of Polandballs. I shall be posting them over the course of the duration of this AHOTW.

Let's start with the USSR!

I have some arts of my latest (successful) Kaiserreich campaign as first Guatemala, and then Centroamerica.

For some context:
Since I formed the socialist version of Central America with Guatemala, I was greeted with elections amongst socialist, well technically Syndicalist 'cuz this is KR, parties. I chose the Partido Popular (PP), mainly because they have their support from Guatemala and I like to roleplay, and they have good bonuses. As for the hat, well it's kinda a meme that KR socialists typically get their hats removed in updates and I wanted to spare my artworks that.

As for the second artwork, well Mexico (which went natpop, basically fascism under a different name I guess), declared war on me, and I beat them, no (significant) outside help needed. I then changed their government upon their surrender, which is why their flag changed in the 3rd panel.

I'm guessing from the last panel it's 1939?

Made this in under about an hour, I'm unhappy with the left eye, but I'm too lazy to go fix it. Also the hat is not fitting properly, too much thought went into the fuzzy part, not enough went into the general shape.

Merry post-Christmas! The hat reminds me of when I barely put on my Santa hat like that as well (don't ask, I'm weird), so it's not entirely inaccurate.
Also, what's wrong with the left eye?

It's the shape. The eye isn't as smooth as I would've liked it to be. I'm pretty mediocre at eyes, and also I used the trackpad rather than a mouse. I'm happy with the majority of the finished product, there's just some flaws I'd like to iron out. I might just redraw it, try and improve the things I'm unhappy with.

I first used MS Paint but I switched to Paint.net, i occasionally switch between both. My tip is to practice drawing circles, then stripes, and then shadows if you want. From there you'll be set as you will need to gain experience.

step one: don't use circle tool.
step two: use something that you're used too. i myself do my art with a mousepad/tablet combo, so...
step three: that tutorial from Danubian Peoples - it's about 15, 25 pages back, explains that if drawing a Polandball, you want to make the bottom a bit squishy. gravity still exists in the undrawn void they are in.

So, I made this as a... kinda redesign? It's different in that now I changed the hat from a Santa hat to a "2019" hat, and also added a sparkler. I'm happy with the eyes now, but the ball shape is now slightly smaller than the previous drawing.
