In other news, I forgot that DS9 had Q episodes. Looking forward to those. I don't know when I'll get around to Voyager, though.

I mean, that one episode, in hindsight, serves as a basis for proving that Sisko is a motherfucking badass. Like, I'm not sure of anything that happens before that point in the series, that elevates him above any other character from the other series.

While Sisko is a badass with a capital bad, I don't think Q was scared of him. I just think he found him less fun than Picard, so he never came back.

I care about the Characters, I want to know what happens next, but...

WTF have they done with the Klingons???

The story needs a race of Jehadi Lizards? Fine. Kardashians are already Nazi Lizards. Why not just call the Bad Guys Kardashi? You have exactly the same story.

Or call the Bad Guys any new name you like. Why Klingons?

And the Pope's slogan is "Remain Klingon" = Racial Purity. WTF?

Timeline:
Discovery is 100 years before Classic Trek, which is 100 years before TNG ish.
It took a century for Klingons to evolve from Hijabi Lizards to Swarthy People and another century to evolve to Rubber Foreheads. And they achieved that with Racial Purity???

You need a story with Hijabi Lizards? Fine. Just don't call those Hijabis "Klingons".

TNG Klingon monks made a Kahless Klone and Whorf supported the Klone.
Discovery' version of Kahless means that Worf did not just support the Klone, he supported the Klan.

Up to now, Worf has been portrayed as honourable and well-intentioned.
In that episode Worf supported Kahless.
Discovery portrays Kahless as a regular Space Nazi.

Kahless was 2000 years ago, Kahless is Klingon Jesus. Over the millennia there are stories about him.

Suppose Historical Kahless were the Space Nazi, but the stories were about Kahless being honourable, then Worf supporting him fits.

Discovery makes everybody know that Kahless is a Nazi in historical times.

Space Oirish Up the long Ladder versus Fairhaven.

UtlL is a TNG episode: there are 50 Space Oirish with all the Classic clichés versus 5 civilized clones.

FHvn is a VOY episode: Tom builds a holodeck program of a town full of classic Oirish clichés and Janeway congratulates Tom because it is so authentic. She falls in love with the holographic barman of the holographic town.

It would be racist if they did those episodes about Blacks.
Likewise, such issues need to be addressed.

Which is worse? UtlL or FHvn?
Fairhaven is worse. Both have racist jokes, but funny racist jokes like UtlL are less evil than unfunny racist jokes like Fhvn.

Likewise, at the end of UtlL, the Oirish win versus their White Overlords and FHvn is the White Overlords winning versus the Oirish.
