[Query] Mods and Puppets

So, just a quick question(or two); Are mods allowed to have puppets and, if so, do they have to make their puppets known, either to other mods or the community in general? I just found myself curious and couldn't find any relevant info in the stickies.

There is no reporting requirement, though some of them (i.e. Mod Puppet, locking down the region Nazi permanently) are blatantly obvious. The ideal is to use an account that is most recognizable on the forum, so it would be encouraged for them to use a main account.

Historically, there have been some mods who opted to have a separate puppet for their mod nation (for instance, Amerigo had "Amerigo the Mod" for his mod account foreeeeeever ago, and in ye olde dayes of the Jolt and pre-Jolt forums I had an entire separate [reploidproductions] forum-only account for my forum admin stuff kept separate from my mod account/main nation) but it's not really a common practice and never really has been; by and large we've all opted to use a recognizable nation instead.

Just to add my two cents to this, I'm still under the impression Violet is Max Barrys wife. That was a *long* time ago and a part of the first round of, "Mod Puppet" discussions back in the day. I don't know, I think it's cute that Violet is Max Barry's alt. Or so I think.
