Kicked by the owner.

Sounded more like 'asked to resign.'

What a shame. One of my favorite mods (one of the few I actually know the name of, actually. Pretty much all the other mods I recognize by flag.) But now the flag doesn't fit with your name any more- I always thought it was cool how they matched.
Just because of the name Doperland, doesn't mean we're all high, I mean, seriously, man....Quote of the undetermined period of time: "Do or do not, there is no try."-Yoda
I'm awesome. On Steam(and most other things, actually) I'm called Necrocreature. Add me if you're willing to buy me stuff!

Luziyca: Thanks :) And no worries. Never was in any of this, player or mod, for the popularity vote. It's all good.

Doperland: Yeah, its a little odd, but as I've said before, I'm still me. Just back to the standard green. No big. Thankies.

As for all the speculation: Folks, I'll be honest with things, yes, but there are simply some things that are covered in simple ethics. And that means I can't reveal private discussions, quote them, or other assorted things. And I am certainly not going to betray the trust I'd been given in being made a moderator, and all the secrets of how things work, who does what, and all the rest. My own trust was abused, yes. I was treated as if I had no ethics, and blocked from access prior to being told to step down, but even then that wouldn't excuse me betraying my word on things.

When I said I am sticking to my principles, that happens to cover this as well. I hope you can all respect that, and not turn this into some sort of platform for mod dislike (you've seen a number of them had no idea, so please do not blame my friends for this - and yes, I am proud to call some of them my friends), or for agitation against the owner, or [violet], or the site, or anything else. If you have problems with them, take it up in another thread. Thanks.

I'm sticking to my principles - can't take that away. *hugs muchly* You keep smiling, feel free to tg me, or hit me up on irc (I'm always on in #nationstates - something some of the squad seemed to forget). Not going anywhere unless I'm DOs'd for having strong opinions. I'm not about to abuse trust, in spite of having mine rather beaten up and treated as if I would, so it'd have to be something like that. Muaha.

If you somehow get Dos'd for your strong opinions then they'll have to Dos me too cause I won't put up with that shit.

I rather seriously doubt Nathi of all people would get herself DOSed. She's always been quite conscientious of the site rules, even before she was modded; and I really don't see her for the type to have a nuclear meltdown the way Stephistan did waaaay back in the day. Sometimes things happen; personalities clash a little too intensely, burnout rears its ugly head, and so on. In those situations, sometimes a mod is asked to resign for their own benefit and the benefit of the rest of the team. Mods are people too, and people don't magically get along with everyone; now and then somebody just rubs you the wrong way. In most workplaces, such situations can be resolved by shuffling people to different departments or store locations... which really isn't an option on a website like this. :P

All that being said...
Nathi, you definitely deserve the kudos for your hard work; I may not have always agreed with your rulings or your tone and method of delivery at times, but there's no denying that you've worked hard and with the community's best interests in mind. Modding is a lot of work, often repaid by plenty of abuse and displeasure from members of the community, and I've seen that take a toll on mods over time; that was one of my greatest worries back when we were looking at adding you to the team. I hope that without having to worry about any of the moddy responsibilities/nonsense you can get back to just enjoying the game and having fun with your awesome RPs and hanging out with folks. And, of course, best wishes, fingers crossed, and so on that your IRL ventures do well; I love hearing about your crafting projects! :)

I'd buy some of that if it were 'the team' that there were problems with rather than the site owner, Rep. But hey. It wasn't for my benefit, or the team's - it was for his. Hard to be that much of a problem when I'm not even in the irc chat and griping at folks day in day out, neh?

Also, I wasn't not having fun and enjoying, oddly enough. And I was still hanging out and chatting with people, rp'ing when there was an opportunity. Not sure why some of you keep pushing that point, but that wasn't the case. I was just busy with other things, and out of town there for a bit to boot. We can see how its all been repaid, however. I'm just fine with the outpouring of well-wishes from folks, from a number of spectra, and even opposite sides of a lot of arguments.

Thank you for the kind words all the same. I know you're just trying to keep the peace with the rest. Been around long enough to know the routine. Had hoped my encouragement to keep it chilly would be enough, but there ya go. Hope you do well also, and keep having fun with the cons, the racing, and the games. Wish you and a number of others still RP'd, but there you go. End of an era, quite some time ago, really. It's a pity, but that's how things go sometimes. All good things eventually do come to an end.

And yes, Stephistan. Prior mod problems aren't really appropriate here, nor is a comparison really. Not sure why she got brought up, but ... meh. It was unpleasant. We'll leave it at that.

I'll risk it. It's cosmetic, and you would have to execute it yourself to see it. I blame myself for being a geek and wanting to solve this puzzle.

Code: Select all
var dln = document.querySelectorAll("[href='./memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=75']");
for (var i =0; i < dln.length;++i) {
    dln[i].style.color = '#FF3300';
}

If jQuery had been enabled on the forums, this would have been much simpler >_>

If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. | Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Aw Nathi, say it ain't so. It saddens me to see you without a jacket. I've always felt your decisions were fair, and I admired your tough stance on many issues even when I silently disagreed with your opinion. Thank you for many years of service to our community.

Now I'm afraid it's come to the point where I must abduct you. Oh, kick and scream all you want, but you belong to P2TM now. Muahahahaha!

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

You can't make it stick- you can only have it re-run automatically upon page load. If you want that, download Greasemonkey for Firefox or another user script manager, which can re-run scripts every time a page is loaded. Then you can install this. It's just Blaat's code repackaged into an installable userscript, and they released it under the MIT license, which lets me repackage and redistribute it without further permission. Plus, I added in a line to ensure that DLN's name always showed up bold in the forums, since regular players' names don't always do that.

(Mods, if you consider this a threadjack, I apologize. I'll take it to telegrams if discussion continues.)
