Though Nathi's tone can occasionally be acerbic, this shouldn't obscure that she is, in essence, a generous and warm-hearted person; it's unfortunate that more people haven't had the opportunity to see this gentler side.

I wish her all the best in her future endeavours, both on-site and off.

Gah, I've been gone for a week as well and am just logging in to catch up with everything.

I'm glad to have gotten to know you better as a person here and other social media areas. Thank you for all the work you've put in to take care of the immense amount of moderation tasks here. You were never afraid to tackle difficult cases, something I greatly admire.

Chatting about... soap? As in:

Jean Shepherd wrote:"Over the years I got to be quite a connoisseur of soap. Though my personal preference was for Lux, I found that Palmolive had a nice, piquant after-dinner flavor - heavy, but with a touch of mellow smoothness. Lifebuoy, on the other hand..."

Nathi, I hardly knew ye (momma always says I'm a good boy), so I've never had the, umm, pleasure to experience your particular brand of modly wrath. Hope you stick around as a player, and have some fun doing it.

Apparently it's a female thing. Like "shopping for pleasure". Don't try to understand it.

Heh heh heh ... soap as in I am making homemade soap of various types and purposes and textures, along with lotions, massage oils, perhaps even room and body sprays eventually. For now, it's mostly soap. Like melt and pour kid soap or other kinds or what not.

I made 9 cubes of ocean rain soap last night, with the 'sandy' bottom, going on up through the layers to a foamy white topping. Don't have pics up of that yet, but when the website goes live, I'll be happy to give anyone interested a heads up in a non-abuse-of-NS-advert-rules sort of way. From the responses of those who've used it so far, I've had positive results. All natural, and aside from the few with goats milk, all vegan friendly. Go fig.

Thanks again, everyone. I really do appreciate it. We have some amazing people on the site, and I'm honored to have been able to get to know some of them. How did that go - I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and like less than half of you half as well as you deserve. ;) In any case, be well, folks.

This isn't necessarily directed at USS Monitor, but I would gently suggest that those individuals interested in Nathi's soap business should send her TGs.

Interest in her new direction is wholly understandable, and site users (players and mods/admins alike) naturally wish her every success; but we don't want to put her in a potentially difficult and awkward position over seeming to advertise a commercial venture on NS. Nathi has, of course, explicitly recognised this herself (note her 'I'll be happy to give anyone interested a heads up in a non-abuse-of-NS-advert-rules sort of way' comment), but it's worth gently stressing again.

Is it too late to make one soap pun and ask why you are so SOAPY (instead of salty)? Jokes aside and real talk here... There is now a vacancy and I am not sure if this has been addressed yet, but is someone going to fill her position or will it remain vacant?

Discussion of, and puns on, the soap business are absolutely fine - no problem there. It's just forum links to a commercial business we want to avoid (as Nathi recognises).

In terms of Moderation staffing, the team are always keeping an eye on staffing levels, and a conversation often takes place when a moderator retires. This doesn't necessarily mean that a vacancy exists, or that a new addition will be made to the team as a result of the present situation.

As noted, that wasn't really directed at you personally; it was more of a general comment, just in case others inadvertently put Nathi in a difficult spot.

Hopefully this is 'so long' and not 'goodbye'. You certainly aren't one of the mods I agree largely with, BUT then again, much in life is about agreeing to disagree. :D

Hopefully I haven't been too conspicuous to be on your radar, but nevertheless, I look forward to seeing you in the other forums sans Moderation over report and discussion threads.

Remember, it's nice being red, but it's like being dead. All the best to your future endeavours (especially the soap business - IF YOU MAKE SOAP YOU CAN'T BE EVIL MWAHAHA), and hopefully it brings you some reprieve from the craziness named NationStates.

Thank's again, Arch - I should have made that plain myself. I've had a few make mention, and via tg is the best method of contact, if you don't have my contact info outside of the site. Advertising on-site for any sort of personal benefit, even some of the charity bits (dependent on situation), on down to the clicker games, has been a huge no-no for a very long time. I may put a 'tg me for info' in my sig, but there won't be any direct links anywhere on the site.

And once more, a sincere thank you to those with well-wishes. Elke and Elba, no worries. The biggest flag I've had with you was that I had a next-door neighbor with the name Elke, and any time I've seen you, it reminds me of childhood and back home, which is never a bad thing. :)

Yup, still around, not as participatory as I might like, but life has me a little busy atm finalizing some set-ups and the like. It turns out that there is a lot of red tape and paperwork and such to opening one's own little venture. As for the NS discount some have asked about ... I'm willing to consider, just haven't worked it into the numbers as yet. Could be a fun thing. Perhaps put up a key word on my RMB or something for folks to look for, or get a mailing list up or the like ... we'll see. Good luck out there on the forums, on the game, and outside of it all - I know at least some of you know life does exist off these pages. ;)

Though I have faced your Modly wrath in the past, I'm sad to say that you won't be there to lay down the law in the Ukraine Crisis threads (if there are anymore.) You were almost always swift and just with your rulings in regards to the Ukraine Crisis threads, which I appreciated, even when I was the one being ruled against.

I know it has been a week since this was announced, but I just wanted to put in my two cents.
