My suggestion would be to change Vat-Produced Infants, which hasn't been a strict prohibition on natural birth since the publication of #1340. New text: "Children are mass-produced using artificial wombs."

When I was perusing the rules for a report, I saw this change then found this thread. The issue I have is the use of an actual region as the example along with a role that is not uniformly used among all regions but one of prominence in that region. A generic region and title should be used instead. Such as Examplelandia and Governor

I am not sure if this is the appropriate thread for this but, I think you should be able to link 2 accounts together and be able to switch between them in one click, i have lost count of the amount of times i have accidentally used the wrong account in a thread

the one stop rule shop has for impersonation TNP and TNP security officer as the example viewtopic.php?f=16&t=260044#011 both TNP and the North Pacific (abrviated TNP) are real reqions in the game, i would argue that actual regions shouldnt be used as examples within the rules. Instead, use generic/fake region names.

I think you are referring to this: viewtopic.php?p=41081240#p41081240 in which it was suggested that the impersonation rule not provide specific examples of nations or regions one could impersonate as to prevent people from taking inspiration from the rules. It seems that this was done for the nation, but not the region, and for some reason it refers to TNP.

Howdy all! You probably saw the news post, but in case you didn't, I'll quote it here:

One of the greatest things about running your own nation is that you get to be in charge of pretty much everything. What is the Leader's name? Have you designated an official national crustacean? Which banners do you have at the top of your nation page? Those banners in particular are important to many folks, as they represent "achievements" - proof that you have completed some particular challenge, whether it's protecting your environment, or merely drugging your population into such a blind stupor that they have offered to build you a solid gold shrine and worship you as the deity you are.

While we've long had banners recognizing a variety of achievements, there have also been some pretty noticeable gaps. Why are there half a dozen banners for progressively larger militaries, but we've never bothered recognizing superior welfare programs? Why do we reward the weaving of baskets, but not the restoration of furniture? Well, wonder no more! We've assembled more than 50 new banners both to reward efforts that were previously unrecognized, and to add additional stretch goals for those who really have taken their nation to the extremes. We've also tweaked the requirements of several previously existing lower-level banners so they take just a hair more effort to get - nothing dramatic, but enough to reduce the likelihood of a nation being created with the stats already in place to instantly get banners in a dozen categories.

We hope you enjoy discovering and earning these new rewards, and to our completionists out there... Game On.

In other words... we've got another pile of new banners released today! My thanks to the IE's who helped develop them, and the tech and admin staff who helped bring them live. Also, a special nod to the excellent suggestions of player Black Flag Syndicate, who posted a couple of well-thought-out suggestions in the Technical forum a couple years back. Though we naturally did a few tweaks, two of those suggestions have now entered the game.

There are many things far more complex than banners in the works (see the first post of this thread), and I hope we can bring you some of those in the next year or two as well, but we wanted to get these out the door as quickly as possible! With apologies for the notification spam some of you may get as you unlock a significant number of these at once, please enjoy hunting these down and report any problems should you find them!

Still awaiting the hoped-for major reorganisation & rationalisation for the list of industries, though... and hoping in particular that if & when this does take place then Sedge's earlier agreement about Bee-keeping being a good addition is still taken into consideration.

I am at that stage where I am genuinely grateful and happy for developments in stats, whether it's adding new stats or adjusting the current stats.

I just hope it won't happen too soon because I will have to extract again too soon.

CWA is driving the ones on that page, but he's been tied up a lot recently, and doing more "editing" than "new stats".

A few other editors (myself included) have not-yet-public betas in the works, though. I can't speak for the others, but I know my NS time has been limited of late, so I haven't been able to put the finishing touches on them. The public feedback phase doesn't need to be as long as it has been for past betas, so I'm hoping I can push mine out maybe in the later half of this year.

I got 27, all are pretty great. In a perfect world they'd come out once a day for 2 months rather than all at once, so people can get a 'oh nice' feeling lots of times rather than just once. Otherwise excellent - I'm not really an achievement hunter but I like getting them through normal play.

Eh, it's cool to actually be able to count them instead of just going "is it just me or do I seem to be getting these more often lately?".

I know Sherp already replied, but I'll just confirm it as well - we've got several betas in closed-door development at the moment :-) They are high on my personal priority list, subject to not losing steam on our normal duties. My goal is to get a couple of these to the public beta stage this calendar year, but all things are subject to team availability so I don't want to make any promises. They are definitely being worked on!

The more that has been examined, the more it has been discovered precisely how dramatic a task it would be... as in re-writing a significant portion of the entire simulation (the industries are apparently near the core of more than just the visible stats.) It does remain an aspiration, but I can't offer any suggestions of when or if it might some day be practical to approach this. That said, I also really like the Bee-keeping suggestion, and should I still be in a position to influence it at the time a project like that occurs, I will strive to see it included :-)

Additional pie charts are something we're very interested in, and have begun work to develop. While we're largely focusing on providing *new* information to players, this suggestion seems like a solid one for simplifying visualization of existing data.

Just thought I would mention that I got 7 more banners when I logged in again without answering an issue. So it's 15 + 7. Nothing wrong with getting them this way, figured it'll be of interest that I (and by extension, others?) get them in two batches.
