The mismatched inconstant messy haphazard fonts and the organization are just as bad as the six little symbols, the former two are also more prevalent and will also make the site look cheap (not fiscally cheap, just creatively of little worth).

I sort of see what you mean about the fonts, though I don't think it's that bad. What do you mean by organisation though?

Go to the settings tab, then go to the selector called "Themes". Rift is the new one.

Whenever I change a banner, my primary banner always turns to Hiking for some reason.

EDIT: It's random, but I think the banner I've selected as the primary one should continue to be selected as "primary".

Also, is it just me or has the Telegram tab vanished from the sidebar?

So now I have to go to my nation page whilst browsing the forums to see whether I have any telegrams?

Also - and this may just be personal preference - but the sidebar tabs seem a bit too big. The icons, that is.

I feel they'd be good as is if there was no text next to them, but with the text I feel like the icons should be a tad smaller, as well as the spacing. Too much whitespace.

I really love the new rift theme, and I am someone who REALLY hates change. The only problem I have with it, is that when I choose banners, only the middle of the banner is shown, not the whole thing. For example, the riverside city banner doesn't show the river/water and only the buildings. Is there a way to fix that?

Other than that, it looks very good and is now my new default theme! :clap:

kinda adding my take on what Esternial mentioned, I feel that the sidebar could have smaller pics and add a telegrams link over your region name. It does not even need a pic, just a small telegram button.

It's a change guys so it's obviously going to take some getting used to. No need to be afraid of change.

I like Rift, I like that NS has changed and tried to make things cleaner and easier. While it's going to take some time getting used to it, I like it. Good lawd it's bright though. LOL. I changed it and was like YEEE GODZ WHAT HAVE I DONE TO MY CORNEAS.

Needless to say I just turned down the screen brightness a bit, lol.

Thanks to the coders, etc who took the time out create the change. No this doesn't make me a suck up. It's recognizing that someone had to take the time to do this. And it's not as easy as everyone might think.

So instead of seeing every bit of negativity in it, I also saw that it said experimental, so things are continuously being worked on.

I am also IN LOVE with how people are asking questions that have been stated in the OP, LOL. :rofl: :rofl:
I'll be happier when NG gives me the darkness goodies, but other than that, I like it.

Just gotta get used to it.

The new system is quite nice. :) Question: Will there still be an indicator when a new resolution is up to vote?

And I'd really suggest...

Code: Select all
.notificationnumber {
background-color: #333333;
}

If you have, say a blue flag, the red with the blue and the green in the banner, makes the site quite jarring in terms of colour.

EDIT: I also think it'd might be good to have the WA Delegate badge more centrally located on a nation's page.

You really need a telegram option in the sidebar, or include the top bar in forumside.

might not be android compatible

Postby Have with it fun » Tue Dec 09, 2014 7:37 pm

Using the app "Chrome Browser" for a Nextbook Android tablet. Trying to use it, but when I make the request, it just keeps sending me back to Century view. I've noticed that there are very few nice things Android owners can have, so I'm assuming it's not compatible.

What a splendid propaganda tool! You can display those facets of your nation you're most proud of or aspirational about.

Suggestion: During April Fool's Day ALL banners are displayed (if there's a way to do this easily, all banners especially those that haven't seen a lot of play the rest of the year). I say this because while I'm proud of my scientific achievements, my freedoms, and my economic and environmental prowess, I won't be putting up the massive crime banners or the one with the creepy monks standing in an eldritch and menacing circle. But in all honesty those should be forced up from time to time.

I haven't seen much in negativity the last few pages. Most are positive comments containing helpful feedback.

@Esty. TG don't show in the left sidebar. The top nav bar doesn't show (on Firefox) in forums. I' have my nation page open in a separate tab to access TG.

There are indicators that pop up for a variety of things, including new region posts, new News items, and such. I haven't paid close attention to WA activity (not being a member), but it's unlikely to have been left out.
