As others have pointed out, you are probably too unqualified and inexperienced for the job, and getting it with any record would debilitate most of your chances. Even if you learned the tasks and duties, I'm afraid the admin would be looking for more mature, sensible applicants. I'm not saying this to be mean, so please do not take it that way. But contrary to what you may currently believe, being a game mod is probably not as simple as banning people you don't like, creating cool threads, etc. It requires some level of responsibility and commitment, which you may not have yet acquired. And that's OK, not everyone has.

In a few months or years, once you and your nation-state have amassed a decent reputation and positive popularity, you may have a better chance of joining the squad. Currently, however, I think it'd be best if you enjoyed NS as a player and feasted on the popcorn everyone was passing about.

The staff is not mean. People very new to the forums who do not have experience should not expect to become moderators. There are players here with far more experience who do not yet meet the qualifications -- and they do not take "no" as a personal attack and bullying.

You can't always get what you want when you want it. That is simply reality.

The moderators aren’t mindless robots. Give them time. Who knows? Perhaps at least one moderator has a gym somewhere in their house.
