Hi, I'm trying to get back into NS and am looking for a new region to RP in.

I'd want something either MT or PMT with a map, preferably an original one with a bit of space. Active RPs are a must- last time I played few were ever started and fewer ever finished!

A chatty community would be nice but I don't like to use discord that much.

The New West Indies might be a good home for you. We have an active PMT/FT roleplay in which you can participate. We also have a nice community that mostly socializes on Discord, if you ever decide to check that out.

Epillon: We're a PMT region with an original map that's recently had a few openings and we currently have a more 'entry' level diplomatic/character RP Trouble in the Tropics that I know the GM is very interested in finishing! While we do prefer to use discord it's not at all mandatory.

You might want to consider a slightly larger region if you want active, good and well-structured RP. A lot of smaller regions struggle to sustain a good quality RP if they're too reliant on only a few active members or have a looser structure. The Hole To Hide In is outside of your range but probably exactly what you're looking for

I'm looking for:
- A strong and active RP community
- A friendly and respectful community, especially to new members
- Room for a nation based on Japanese/Korean/Okinawan culture, with its own added flair.
- Open to alternative government types.
- Fantasy map, so not an Earth 2.0
- Human-only, so no fantasy races like elves or dwarves and stuff like that.
