Why would they post here, bragging about their stability, if they didn't want our approval?

Well with the second lowest endo cap (TP wins at 10 to balder's 15) they don't have much choice really Anyone they voted above her would find themselves in TRR.

So perhaps a congratulations is in order to Balder and their leadership rather than shitting on their announcement?

*roars* You're cutting around Loop and Kandarin's enormous reigns. And you're missing the point: stability isn't everything. Nobody remembers the tenures of Krulltopia, Fudgetopia, Kandarin, or Loop as periods of great activity. In all cases, their regions were in very rough shape when they finally departed.

Being high in endorsements doesn't mean they're active.

As an update on this, I've hit 269 endorsements (72%). 269 is definitely the highest I've been and I'm not sure, but it might be the highest the sinkers have ever been. I'm not sure what the exact record is, although it is the highest since they started to record the rankings page.
Although I would love to know what the record amount of endorsements is in the sinkers if it is not the 268 hit by Funkadelia recently in Lazarus.

The "Longest Serving WA Delegate" recorded on-site in each region is one of a number of reasonable reference points. Clearly, a record of continuous Delegate tenure that goes back earlier than that is also relevant for historical purposes, but in-game recognition of tenure is still a sensible and accessible metric which can be used to establish Delegate longevity, now that we nearly 8 years since that page was first introduced. It should not be disregarded.
A degree of underlying political stability is a necessary but insufficient pre-condiiton of sustainable activity. Balder has achieved both of these things. If you are saying that previous long-lived Delegacies have failed to achieve sustainable activity, then that is merely confirmation of Balder's relative success.Marilyn Manson Freaks wrote:I like Rach, but I have seen nothing from Balder. Balder is one of the most engaged and active game-created regions both externally and internally. In foreign affairs, this is reflected by our successful intervention in the Lazarus conflict, our participation in WALL, the treaties signed recently in the last few months and the treaties we are in the process of signing. Internally, it is reflected in that our total forum post count is the highest of all 4 sinker regions (even higher than TRR, which has had the same forum going back to 2004), and our highly active and socially orientated Discord server. If you think Balder is quiet, you're seeing only what you want to see.Lenlyvit wrote:Oh, also before I forget. Her and NES did exchange the delegacy back and forth once or twice, according to the Balder history page.
Rach and NES did not "exchange" the Delegacy in the sense that there was a backroom deal between them. North East Somerset stood for Delegate and was elected to the position in January 2014, succeeding Rach. On a subsequent occasion, Rach stood for Delegate and re-gained the position in June 2014.Unibot III wrote:

Balder is never going to stop publicly celebrating our Queen's achievements because of the ever-present hostility and bitterness of our enemies.
If you think Balder wants your approval, then you are simply flattering yourself.Marilyn Manson Freaks wrote:

It's good evidence of healthy on-site engagement, which is part of overall activity.

If you meant "exchange" in a neutral sense rather than intending to imply a transaction, then you wouldn't have said it. Your sole purpose in this thread is making pitiful attempts at disparaging Balder due to our refusal to conform to the wishes of defender and defender-sympathising politicians.
Regardless, it is a mater of public record that the Delegacy changed hands as a result of competitive elections. The people of Balder decided who was Delegate; no single person gifted the Delegacy to another person at any point.
