While I'm not familiar with Lazarene law, one ought not to confuse freedom of speech with freedom of consequence. The fundamental principle behind "freedom of speech" is that one can not be prosecuted by the state for voicing his or hers opinion. As far as I know, Church of Satan has not been dragged in to court.

That however does not mean that an official can't be fired for expressing an opinion if expressing said opinion reveals, for example, a certain incompetence. As a Minister of Foreign Affairs, diplomacy is a skill one ought to have. If such diplomacy is not exercised, it is a normal response to replace said official.

I'm not too familiar with the Lazarene Constition but from what i've heard throughout my adventures on NS over recent times; It's not to different to the PRL's constition down to Funk being "stubborn." Some shit about his ideas being better because he liked them. Look don't ask me - I know nothing about Laz aye. xD

And before someone comes and attempts to shred my ass for merely repeating what I heard - Nope. I don't really have a view on new laz or funk. I like the new color though; It's purrrttyyy. I would like to hear more about Laz though.

I'm fairly sure I don't see the phrase "are guaranteed positions of power and the right not to be removed from them" as a protected personal right. Public officials are held to a higher standard, or at least they are suppose to be, and their opinions are protected but their positions are not.

In other words, being Minister of Foreign Affairs is a privilege, not a Constitutionally Protected right.
