You may be aware of Mount Seymour's map of regions that share the same name as RW nations, with a diverse mix of controlling regions.

Inspired by this, I made a map of world capitals as regions on NS. However, anybody hoping for as wide a range of ownership as the nations they are in will be mistaken, with a large majority of the regions being Ancient Lands/0000/"Queen's State" operated (i.e. when Washington DC is coloured in green, it's an AL territory as it claims to be "a United States of America region"), and another sizable cluster in Eastern Europe and the Middle East being run by the Eastern Roman Empire. You can see the map by clicking here, but be warned that the image may take time to load.

Clarifications:

By "colonised", I mean "operated under the authority of another region".
There wasn't space on the map, so I'll say it here now: Western Sahara is in black because it has no official capital.
I am grudgingly listing Brasilia as non-colonised, because the founder did not state it as an AL region, but later left it for AL.
Ditto Dakar - it appears to be non-colonised, but its only embassy is with (and its founder moved from) the Holy Reich of Bunicken.
I'm also listing Luxembourg as AL (the region Luxembourg City does not exist, but Luxembourg does, and AL owns it).
I'm listing Tallinn as colonised by another region: The founder is The Committee For Public Safety and the only embassy is with NSLeft region Red Harbor.
Your clarifications are also welcome!

It would last until the minor update of the 30th, when the imperialist jaywalking airgangsters took the region by force, relying on outside forces to seize the region and re-institute the oligarchy which presides to this very day.
