What languages are taught in your nation's schools?

College students are encouraged to learn an additional language related to their field of study.

Ex: doctors learn Latin, chefs learn French, musicians learn Italian, businesspeople learn English, etc.

Finally, Students start learning one Foreign language from Primary School. The Options here are limited to English, French and Italian.

In Secondary Schools, systems vary more since Students are here divided into a variety of School Types. Gymnasium (Elite Academic High Schools), Are Required To take 2 years each of one additional "Language of Modern Diplomacy" (English, French and Italian being the Leaders, while German, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Turkish and Arabic also being options in some schools) and one "Language of Classical Culture" (Latin, Koine Greek, or Church Slavonic). Other High schools may have lighter foreign language requirements.

So in review, as a rough maximum within the direct school system, a student may speak a dialect of Jugoslav very different from the Standard, learn the Standard as if another language, be in an Albanian district where Albanian is taught, Start taking English in 1st Grade, Get selected for Gymnasium, Add Two more languages, and thus essentially speak 6 languages by the time they graduate high school.
