"Maximus, the Ottomans are weaker now than ever. The time to strike should be soon," said General Ioannis Kolettis. The Megali Idea, begun by King Otto in the 1800s, promoted "Greater Greece," a restoration of a Hellenic Empire the size of the Delian League or ancient Macedon. "We must be prepared to strike at any time. Greater Greece is just beyond the horizon. It can be obtained. The army is at 75,000, and with the most recent updates to the army with technology of the West, we are more ready than we have ever been." "When will our idea be fully implemented?" "Soon Ioannis. When Ioannis left, Maximus reflected on his options. There was a sizable enough population of Greeks in Asia Minor, 2.5 million to be exact. The protection of Greeks and Greek culture seemed like a viable reason for war, although according to even Maximus's estimates Greeks almost certainly did not constitute a majority of the population. A crusade against Islam would be unwieldy and likely condemned by even majority Christian nations such as France and the U.K., which cannot be alienated under any circumstance.

Another, more pressing issue at Maximus's table was the presence of the Bulgarian and Ottoman armies. After the taking of most of the spoils of the Balkan Wars, Bulgarian-Greek relations had become increasingly tense. The Ottomans, ashamed and enraged after their decisive defeats at the hands of the Balkan League, were seeking revenge.

The Greek state, after expansions into formerly Ottoman lands west of Constantinople, seems incredibly close to fullfilment of the Megali Idea. If fully implemented, it would restore the nation to a power not held since the days of Alexander the Great.

Currently the army, numbering 75,000, is prepared for war, although likely not ready to fully defeat both the Ottomans and the Bulgarians. The army relies on technology mostly borrowed from its most trusted ally, the United Kingdom. Cavalry, an old-fashioned technology, still constitutes a substantial portion of the force. Machine guns, artillery, and the navy are being modernized to Western standards.

In response to the continued invasion of Africa, the government of Wasabiton has delivered an ultimatum to the Veskesh government: Cease the invasion of Africa and keep your cuurent African territories or have war with us. Shortly after delivering the message to the wasabiton embassy in veskesh, the Wasabiton armed forces AKA: the Peoples Liberation Force (PLF) was partially mobilized and our fleets began sailing to africa ready for war. though in secret the only reason for the wasabiton empire trying to stop the aggression was to be able to stake their own claim in africa.
the Wasabiton army had 250,000 men active with another 250,000 in reserves with about 20 million men fit for service. we also have the most advanced air corp in the world and were one of the first nations to use air power in their army to fight and not just scout.

[The Imperial Masonic Dominion]

The Imperial Masonic Dominion looked at Libya's oil fields and resources with envious eyes. With colonies already in Africa such as the Algerian, Moroccan and Tunisian colonies this would be just another weak and un-defended African nation to fall to the superior Masonic army and navy. 200,000 troops of the 850,000 strong Masonic army gathered on the eastern borders of Tunisia and Algeria. The Masonic navy was also to be used. They would, without warning, stealthily arrive at the Libyan ports and shell the enemy ships while they laid in the ports unaware. War would not be declared on Libya until after the main assault had been carried out. The army would attack in three main thrusts with an army group of 50,000 troops each amd with the central army group, the largest, having 100,000 troops. The four army groups would attack in different areas.

The Northern Army group would attack along the coast with the cover of naval gunfire and would sweep past surprised Libyan defenders, The Central army group would attack from the eastern Algerian border and would strike at the centre of Libya and would advance through the desert. The Southern army group would attack from the south eastern borders of Algeria and would aim to strike at the south of Libya. Both army groups north and south would be armed with 100 Austro-Daimler armoured cars and army group centre would be armed with 200 armoured cars to help them sweep through the desert and slice through the Libyan defences. The army groups would be supported by artillery and mortar strikes. As they advanced through Libya. The Libyan army was weak, and unsuspecting. The attack would achieve total surprise and victory was sure to be guaranteed and the troops were told that it would be won by Christmas.

The Assault Begins

On 10th December 1914 the attack began. The Masonic navy had sent a fleet of 30 ships to attack the Libyan navy while it sat in port. 15 destroyers, 10 battle ships and 5 dreadnoughts began to shell Libyan ships from afar while staying out of range of the enemy coastal guns, the Libyan navy was now engaged in a battle for its life in the Mediterranean. Masonic artillery began a huge barrge of Libyan bases and barracks. Mason troops and armoured cars then followed under the cover of the creeping barrage. The Libyan troops were caught unaware, unprepared and overwhelmed as they faced and onslaught of Masonic troops and armoured cars while being subdued with an immense and protracted artillery barrage.

In The North, the ships that were not attacking the Libyan navy provided powerful fire support for Masonic troops that had began their attack on the nations capital Tripoli. The ar,outed cars were able to smash through the lines of defence as troops armed with machine guns that lay in trenches, while effective against infantry, could not destroy the armoured cars as a result this allowed Mason troops to break through Libyan lines of defence and reach Tripoli. The city was then subjected to artillery bombardments as troops awaited orders to advance on the city. The cities of Ghahames and Nalut were also under attack with Mason troops making gains in both cities.

In Central Libya the huge central army group was sweeping through the desert. With the use of their armoured cars they were making large gains. The cities of Houn, Brak and Sebastian were their goals. Makeshift enemy trenches had been set up in the desert, this did slow the Mason advance but with artillery and armoured car support the trenches could be overcome. Masonic aircraft would scout the enemy positions to direct deadly accurate mortar strikes. The enemy was reeling from the massive offensive and was being to reorganise, but the element of surprise was still large enough that it could be exploited.

In Southern Libya the huge army group was tearing through the country. Ghat had been encircled and Quatround was under siege with artillery pounding the enemies positions in the city. The days after the primary attack resistance had increased due to the awareness of the attack. In the south enemy resistance was high but the onslaught continued. In the cities bloody street by street warfare occurred with defenders hiding in buildings and ambushing troops with machine guns and snipers. An artillery barrage was called in to subdue the enemy as the battles continued.

Veskesh refuses to halt their invasion on Africa. During a speech in the capital Jarl Snow said.

"We will not listen to these Communist pigs. Veskesh will expand it's power in Africa and soon Asia will be next. So send your army we will be ready for you to arrive if you get past our fleet which may be impossible for you since our Navy is the strongest hell it can even rival the UK's Navy."

The 7th and 8th fleet arrived to meet with the other Veskeshian fleets. Once the Admirals got done talking out a battle plan. The Veskeshian fleet aimed it's cannons on any military bases in the country. All at once the ships fired their cannons destroying everything as the shells hit the ground.

In response to the refusal to pull out of Africa by the Veskesh government, the Government of wasabiton has sent a declaration of war to the wasabiton embassy in Veskesh and evacuated the ambassadors their to safety. the next day our 7th, 8th, and 9th fleet arrived in range, the navy and launched a seaplane raid on the navy to weaken their navy and after the raids, our dreadnoughts opened fire at the enemy ships as our submarines sneaked up from behind and torpedoed more enemy ships. while that was going on a total of 150,000 men departed from ports to go to our allies in Algeria to take the fight to South Africa and to repel the Veskesh invaders. Other things being delivered included artillery, armored cars, horses, and planes. also, conscription had begun to increase the size of the army with goals to booster it to 500,000 active soldiers as the reserves became active duty.

The Veskeshian fleet was caught off guard around five ships sank. The ships stop aiming their cannons on the South African coast and aimed it at the enemy ships the cannons fired on the enemy ships.

The Times

The first armored unit of Greece, formed with "Big Willie" and "Little Willie" tanks and fighting vehicles, has been created in Athens. The force, known as the 1st Armoured Cavalry Brigade, consists of around 7,500 total troops, as well as air support and artillery. It is led by General Alexander Komenos, an experienced cavalry commander from the Balkan Wars, and one of the main proponents of the use of armored forces.

According to High Command, more units will be created as armored forces. However, there is a sharp divide on how the forces should be used. One group, led by General Komenos and leader Maximus, believe in the usage of armor as independent forces, entirely separate from infantry and cavalry. The other group believes that armor should be used to support infantry attacks and charges.

The Greek Navy, controller of the Aegean Sea, is expanding and modernizing. Dreadnoughts Salamis and Vasilefs Konstantinos have been completed. Four light cruisers, based off the Chinese Chao Ha class, have also been commissioned. This has increased the presence and power of the Greek navy, which already is the strongest in the Aegean. The Ottoman Navy in comparison seems weaker each and every day.

A formal agreement has been signed between the Imperial Masonic Dominion and the Greek Empire. The terms have not been released to the public.

Libya

With Libyan forces in full retreat The Mason army was pushing ever deeper into Libyan land. Tripoli was a scene of vicious street to street fighting, Libyan forces now controlled only a quarter of their captial and were losing ground to the superior Masons who were armed with better weapons and had naval gunfire support. The tiny Libyan navy had been crushed in the gulf of Sirte the Masonic Navy then turned its wrath towards Tripoli and began to shell the enemy positions in the city. Slowly but surely the enemy capital would fall and could bring about the surrender of the enemy though this concept was far fetched. Meanwhile the city of Nalut had been taken and Masonic forces broke though defensive lines just east of the outskirts of Leptis Magna. In central Libya Houn, Brak and Sebha fallen to Masonic forces.

Libyan forces had mounted a counter attack but this had failed resulting in the death of more Libyan troops at the hands of dug in and defended Mason machine guns and mortars. In the south Ghat was still under siege and had been encircled. The city had been subjected to artillery barrages and gas attacks and was quickly running out of food all the Masons had to do was to wait for them to surrender or for them to starve. While they waited Imperial Masonic forces began their attacks on the defensive Libyan lines at Qatroun and would then be able to march on Tummu and complete their mission to conquer the south east of Libya.

Now I wish to inform you all dear citizens that Suyalia will not intervene in any wars that is going on in Europe and Africa we will remain neutral. I repeat we will remain neutral yes I know some you may think that the communist in South America is a threat. But we must not start or intervene in a war we need to show the world that Democracy is a peaceful government so we must preserve Democracy in our great nation. When the shells from the veskesh navy hit only 2 ships were sunk as we were prepared and in defensive positions we then fired back to keep the veskesh navy occupied for as long as possible as their navy was definitely superior to ours but we needed to distract them from our true goal which was an invasion of the Veskesh colony of south africa which by now the troop ships and battle cruiser escort had arrived. Meanwhile off the coast of south africa all of our battlecruisers pounded the defenders with heavy artillery to make way for the troops. after that about 8 troops ships arrived at the beaches and started unloading men into the heavy machine gun fire. the battle for south africa had begun. secretly brought along was also a new weapon codenamed the tank using stolen plans from the british we were able to reproduce some tanks and sent them on the south african campaign the tanks being used were known as the Mk.1 Medusa.

The Veskeshian soldiers seeing this new war machine run back to the trenches. Around 200 soldiers died from enemy fire in the trenches four mortars were set up each of them firing shells at the Tanks and foot soldiers. However the fourth mortar was firing shells with mustard gas in them. The Commander in the trench sent out a message bird to a airfield far away from the battle the bird's mission was to get some Bomber planes to destroy enemy lines. However it will take some time for the bird to reach the airfield.

Declaration of War

For decades, nay, centuries, we have been suffering. Our people in Anatolia and throughout the Ottoman state have been suffering. Constantinople was and is a Greek city. Anatolia was and is a Greek territory. Both these territories owe their culture and their foundations almost entirely to the Greek people. As with all Greek minorities in the Ottoman lands, the Greeks there have been treated with nothing bu disrespect. Greeks and Orthodox Christians have been kicked down like dogs.

As is my policy, I have tried to bring about a settlement peacefully, to no avail. It is a lie when the outside world claims that we have been nothing but violent or indifferent. I have negotiated with the Ottomans for Anatolia, yet nothing has happened. I have offered them millions of dollars yet they have said nothing. You all know the proposals I have made for restoring Greek control over Greek lands. All of them peaceful. And all, in vain.

The Ottomans have directed their attacks against the aforementioned territories. Moreover, the Ottomans are not prepared to settle the questions of Anatolia and Constantinople in reasonable ways. I must add that Greece has kept its obligations. No minority in Greece is oppressed. No Ottoman mosque is massacred. The Turks cannot say the same.

Therefore, it is time. It is time to begin the struggle. The struggle will be difficult, it may take months, years, or even a decade. Yet we have the support of God on our side. Therefore, I declare war on the enemy. On the Ottomans.

In the dead of night, the 1st Naval Squadron crept out of port toward Constantinople, the sacred city. In the sky, hundreds of biplanes and bombers took off from airfields across Greece. It began.

The 15,000 or so defenders of Constantinople, positioned outside the city, were in for a shock. Thousands of bombs dropped upon the defenders, destroying artillery and important positions. Turkish aircraft scrambled into the sky, yet, the Greek "Spowith Pup" (imported from UK) fighters were more than a match. The few Ottoman fighters were destroyed almost entirely. The airfield near Constantinople was put out of service.

In the sea, the Ottoman Naval Force defending Constantinople was even less prepared. The 1st Naval Squadron, led by the battlecruiser Georgios Averof, launched a devastating broadside. The massive guns of the squadron pummeled the pre-dreadnought Brandenburg-class warships that the Turks had. A massive volley even struck directly onto the Turkish flagship, Barbaros Hayreddin, killing its captain and most of the higher command of the ship.

Meanwhile on land, the attack truly began. The 1st Armoured Cavalry Brigade led the charge, brushing through the meek defenses that still remained outside of Constantinople. The Turks, despite being more prepared, were all in shock as they saw the "Big Willie" tanks roll down toward them. The small machine guns and rifles that the Ottomans could use were no match for the thick armor and heavy weaponry of the Greek Armour. Constantinople's outskirts fell in the blink of an eye. Then, in a deeply symbolic moment, the Greek forces marched through Constantinople, unopposed. The city of God had been returned to its rightful rulers. Over 52,000 Greek troops marched through the city and continued forward.

More and more armored units have been formed in the mainland, and they are being sent eastwards. In Izmir, the 2nd Naval Squadron bombarded the few Ottoman coastal positions to complete destruction. Then, the 3rd Army, reinforced by recently created Greek units in the mainland, landed and took the city with few casualities.

The mustard gas hit a more isolated area and as a result, only 500 people died but 1,000 were incapacitated and about 4 tanks were destroyed. After that, many Beardmore W.B.III naval fighters were catapulted off of the battlecruisers and gained air superiority and disabled the airfield. Meanwhile during the naval battle our submarines were able to sneak behind the enemy ships and launched the torpedoes hitting the ships. our dreadnoughts then began firing g more rounds whole seaplanes came in for another bombing run over the enemy. back on the battlefield of the south african shores we managed to get a small bach head and set our artillery up and started firing on the enemy positions and launched mustard gas back at the troops as fighter planes kept strafing the enemy.

The government of wasabiton has sent out a letter to the emperor of United east asia wanting to reach a hand out to them in friendship even though they are not go they both hate the mainland European countries like germany, france, and russia. By working together The government of Wasabiton believes that it will bring glory to both of our empires and secretly offers argentina if they assist in an invasion of argentina. Meanwhile in Peru, the communist uprising there was a big success and the new government have agreed to join the Peoples Empire of wasabiton which gives wasabiton access to the old fleet of peru and their ports which our empire will build a pacific fleet with.

The last trial begins in 3...2...1...Go! The engine of the new tank being developed in secret roared to life and started moving across an open road were targets popped up as the rotating turret which was a new advancement in tank technology rotated and aimed its 37mm gun and blasted them away. It then encountered uneven terrain which while slower still moved well blasting more targets as it crossed trenches and finally reached the finish line. It passed with flying colors and authorization for mass production and the wasabiton government ordered 4,000 of them while they offered it to all of their allies. after the trial the tank was named the Hades Mk.1

Mainland Turkey:

With The Greek invasion of Turkey under way. The Imperial Masonic Dominion would do its part and assist its ally in its attack upon their old enemy. 50,000 troops would be sent to The Bosporus to then link up with Greek troops and push into Turkey from the west. With most of the Ottoman navy destroyed the Masonic navy would enter the Aegian and deploy troops in Constantinople to then start operations along with their allies. 200 armoured cars would also be deployed with the troops as would 50 gun carriers and 600 artillery guns. Once fully deployed they would set up positions along the front line and join the Greek offensive. Once the troops had been deployed the battleships that escorted the transport ships would then carry out raids against Turkish ports open fire at Turkish ports.

As the troops departed King Thomas Vincentine declared war upon The Ottoman Empire. By helping his Greek allies he would be playing his role in the alliance and would gain land from the Turkish. Land that was riddled with resources such as Arabian oil and gold. He also supported this invasion as it would would bring back Christianity to the holy land and would bring Christianity back to Constantinople and Jerusalem. With his army crushing the Libyans he was confident of victory. He was also given information of a new type of battle vehicle. He was presented with the blue prints and was shown a prototype. When King Thomas was first presented with the tank and the blueprints he was amazed and compared it to a knight and ordered it 50 of them be produced. The designer then thanked The King and designated his new creation as 'The Imperial Knight' Tank.

Knowing that his country's foot soldiers are very brave he knew that Veskesh was behind making new military technology and since Veskesh was only good at naval combat. Jarl Snow has ordered that all Veskeshian soldiers in South Africa to retreat back to other Veskesh held colonies in Africa. Hoping the communist will stop fighting once the soldiers withdrew.

Many soldiers died in the battle of South Africa this was the first time Veskesh lost a war. Once they got a telegram from the Jarl the soldiers left the trenches and began retreating.

Just like on land many ships were sunk they too retreated but not before firing their cannons at the ships while retreating.

Suyalia worried about the war in the Pacific decided to send a naval fleet to Hawaii. To defend the tiny island however President Franklin Wilson told United East Asia that Suyalia will promise to remain neutral as long as no Suyalian ships are attack.

Just in case the Communist in South America decide to try and invade mainland Suyalia. A naval fleet is guarding the states that is close to any body of water.

As the veskeshian soldiers retreated, The Wasabiton soldiers cheered as they have gotten a victory and have taken south Africa for themselves. when they retreated they did not chase them but let them retreat. Meanwhile in the coast of south Africa A miracle happened somehow the Wasabiton navy managed to beat back one of the most powerful navies in the world. meanwhile, a letter was sent to the suyalian government that as long as they did not attack us we will not attack them.

Cyprus:

A huge Masonic fleet of 45 ships and a huge swarm of troops transports came into sight. With 5 Dreadnoughts, 10 Battleships, 15 Cruisers, 10 destroyers and 5 frigates. They were followed by troop-transport ships. The battlefleet moved in and brutally crushed the remains of the crippled Ottoman navy. The battle was swift with the Nasons only losing one frigate. The navy would then begin to bombard Turkish positions on the peninsular of Akamas. After peninsular was taken Mason troops would then move south and take the city of Polis. The naval battle however gave the Turks to realise an invasion was coming. Troops transports moved closer to the beaches under the protective fire of the battle fleets bombardment. The invasion of Cyprus with 35,000 troops had began. Troops departed from their transports and made their way into their speed boats. Specialised craft had been constructed to allow the new tanks to land on the beach and support the infantry. As the bombardment continued the first troops began to land on the beach.

The Turks that were positioned on the hills above watched the beach, with machineguns in place they would cut down advancing troops. However with the bombardment meant that it was too dangerous to leave the cover of their bunkers. The troops that had landed would land in waves of 3000 with 30 in one boat. Once all the troops the speed boats would head ball to the troops transport to pick up more which would then depart for the beach. Troops that had landed began to bayonet charge the enemy positions upon the hill. However to do this the bombardment had to cease. As a result a number of troops were cut down by machine gun and mortar fire. With the deployment of British MKI tanks and Masonic Imperial Knight tanks the infatry once again gained momentum and was able break through the defensive line in the hills. With the defences taken the Turks had retreated to their postions around the city of Polis.

The Bosporus:

Masonic troops had begun their offensive against the Turks. With gas masks firmly strapped to their faces Mason troops advanced under a chlorine gas attack. With artillery shells pounding enemy postions and 50 imperial knight tanks supporting their assault, the troops had reached the enemy trenches. In the Ottoman trenches a brutal hand to hand battle occurred between the attacker and the subordinate defenders. In the thick, murky, yellow cloud of death those enemy soldiers who were too late to put on gas masks had collapsed and laid choking to death while their comrades that had survived now fought for their lives were engaged in a battle that involved, bayonets, knives, spades, grappling hooks and even fists. After an hour of fierce battle most of the Ottomans had succumbed to the gas. Masonic officers cleared the way for their troops with their semi-automatic pistols and troops cleared corners with their grenades. The trench had been taken the Mason troops then occupied the trench and began to reinforce so that they could withstand an Ottoman counter attack.

Veskesh knowing it can not win a war against the Communist decided to sign a peace treaty to send to Wasabiton. Meanwhile Veskesh has decided to declare war on the German Empire for attacking a supply ship heading towards England. Jarl Snow also declared war on Germany's allies including the Ottoman Empire. Veskesh will be sending it's navy to the English Channel to help protect the UK. While another fleet is sent to France to aid them in their defense against the German Empire.
