See this 'democratic ' government is a bunch of phonies who seek to oppress their own people , and most recently they trade embargoed us , attempting to stop the oil from flowing in to our nation, that we rely on so much. So as of yesterday we have claimed this , Small Island as our own rightful territory."

The crowd erupted in to cheering and clapping.

Darwenthia Surrender.

On this day, we hereby declare ourselves no longer a sovereign nation. But part of the greater Skellig Empire. We surrender our resources and our possessions to the will of almighty Skellig. All attempts to resist were futile and wasted, we were wrong to attempt to stop the flow of prosperity from the Superior Skellig Empire and we all owe their people an apology. Any attempt to re-establish sovereignity is a waste of resources and a trait of a bad person.

We Surrender:

Signed,
Government of Dawenthia
President Hoover

A truly disgusting case of imperialism has occurred as another nation loses its sovereignty to be butchered by a foreign power for resources. The nation of Skellig has occupied Darwenthia, an independent people, simply to extract the area's resources for Skellig's own benefit. Alongside this revolting imperialism and stenching brutal conquest of another people, is the spinelessness of the Darwenthian 'government' and 'President' Hoover, quislings who have surrendered to Skellig immediately upon seeing the flashing of the gun barrel. Them, a truly unworthy 'government', have betrayed the Darwenthian people. The most appalling statement however is the following clause: "Any attempt to re-establish sovereignity is a waste of resources and a trait of a bad person", betraying their Nation wholly. Such a travesty can not be tolerated for continued existence; for the continued freedom of the Darwenthian People and the survival of the Darwenthian Nation, Skellig Imperialism must be ended.

Saunrea hereby CONDEMNS the illegal, unlawful occupation of Darwenthia, and demands that Skellig immediately withdraws its troops and ends its occupation of Darwenthia. Should this demand be unfulfilled, enforcement of it may be considered on our part.

Ould Yenge
Bir Moghrein

"Damn imperialists..." muttered President Adawiyah under her breath. The island of Darwenthia had been just annexed by Skellig, and it's leaders killed or imprisoned. Adawiyah just couldn't bear to see this happen to another of the world's nations. She called for a meeting of generals to discuss on the situation, and see what Bir Moghrein could do about it. The Skellig Empire was a gigantic war machine, compared to tiny little Bir Moghrein. It seemed that there was little it could do, except maybe they could attempt to diplomatically challenge the occupation, nothing more, nothing less. As such, President Adawiyah asked for the opinion of the generals and government, which was generally in favor of diplomatically resisting the operation.

"All in favor of denouncing the government of Skellig please raise your hands, now." said Adawiyah. She gazed around the room and noticed that the majority of the government officials and generals had decided to denounce the Skellig Empire for their actions to occupy Darwenthia. A general raised his hand, "Madam President, could I suggest we decide to send a force, maybe a company, of observers, to the island of Darwenthia to observe the situation and make sure no one attempts to breach international laws, both Darwenthian rebels and Skelligian soldiers?" said the general.

Adawiyah grinned and nodded. "Sure, that is a good idea." she said.

As such, Adawiyah dismissed the generals and everyone went backed to their jobs. Some officials were sent to send messages to the Skelligian government regarding the observers and the situaton at Darwenthia. At Ould Yenge's airport, soldiers loaded into planes and got ready to takeoff to Darwenthia. Their mission was to just observe the situation, and make sure that the Darwenthian rebels, people and Skelligian forces abided by International Law and keep the peace there.

Within several hours, the planes took off and the message to Skellig was sent. The line of transport aircraft took off one by one from Ould Yenge's airport towards Darwenthia, to keep the peace there. Everything would go as planned to make sure that everything would be peaceful.

OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE OF THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF SAROV
“Concilium Populus Que Terrarum”

Subject: General statement on the recent military aggression from the Empire of Skellig
From: Sarovian State Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The recent military actions conducted by the Empire of Skellig against the small, defenseless nation of Darwenthia has rung alarm bells in the Kremlin, and the government of the Peoples Republic of Sarov has announced solemn condemnation of the unprovoked military aggression and sabre-rattling by the Empire of Skellig. Premier-General Valentina Kuznetsova has announced that the Peoples Republic of Sarov does not recognize the Skelligian claim of sovereignty over Darwenthia and the intermediate resources in the region, as it is a direct violation of democracy and has severely disturbed the peace within the region and comes as a major geopolitical upset to the Peoples Republic of Sarov and its international interests. However, as the Peoples Republic of Sarov is willing to co-operate and give everyone a chance of redemption, Premier-General Valentina Kuznetsova has authorized for a small contingent of Sarovian Peoples Military observers to be immediately dispatched to Darwenthia, which will arrive via air on the northern coast of the island, to overwatch the transition process, and esure it goes smoothly. A small naval force, consisting of roughly 3 Frigates will be dispatched to provide logistical support to the military observers (however, they will not be armed), as well as humanitarian aid to anyone that needs it, and to provide general security for Skellig forces ont he island, these elements were already in the general region and should be on-scene shortly. To end this letter, should there be no problems encountered by the military observers, the Peoples Republic of Sarov may change its mind and decide to recognize Skellig's control over the island.

Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Affairs Minister

About ~1000km to the south west of Darwenthia

The grand naval vessels of the 1st Fleet chopped through the waters at tremendous speed, bobbing up and down as the waves rocked the ships somewhat calmly, yet somewhat violently too. Amongst the grand armada of ships were three Alexandr Nevskiy-class Heavy Missile Cruisers, five Arkhangelsk-class Nuclear Guided Missile Destroyers, two Lakhta-class Nuclear Missile Cruisers and two Svietlana-class Missile Cruisers. Far infront of the well-hidden, stealthy armada, were the three Perekat-class Nuclear Missile Frigates that were promised, steaming ahead at full speed towards the south of the island, carrying 10 military observers per ship, but also quite a large, well trained, hidden contingent of special forces, located within a special compartment of the ship that could not be found by regular search parties. The VMS Stalingrad, the spearhead of the 1st Fleet, a Valingrad-class Supercarrier, steamed at a constant speed, located in the middle of the armada, it was armed with 90 combat ready planes as well as a large contingent of attack, transport and search and rescue helicopters. The deck of the carrier was buzzing with activity, planes were being armed and fuelled below the decks before being brought up and moved into position, with planes being locked into the catapults and others living up by the ski ramp, ready to take off and begin their mission, whilst in the other ships, the crews were all racing to their positions, weapons officers were scanning over their targets, homing in on the appropriate target and waiting for the order to fire, whilst radar operators nervously watched out for any signs of unknown activity within the vicinity of the fleet, and the ship Captains constantly gave updates to Naval High Command about the progress of the fleet. The majority of the fleet were located roughly 1000km away from the coast of Darwenthia, with the three Frigates located only 720km away, and it was estimated that the Frigates with the military observers would be on-scene in Darwenthia in just a few hours.

Deep beneath the waves... another force was awaiting combat, ready to fire upon any hostile ship that dared threaten the safety of the 1st Fleet, it manoeuvred ahead of the main force of the fleet, shadowing the Frigates as they approached Darwenthia. Armed with a large quantity of Cruise Missiles and Guided Torpedoes, the submarine element of the 1st Fleet would not go down without a fight.

Skellig War Cabinet:
General Hawthorne stood forward beginning to speak , "Our enemies have come to challenge our national rights to the island of Darwenthia, which was stolen from us centuries ago in 1880. The countries are Saunrea,Mawani and Sarov . Saunrea is all talk, But Mawani has said they will send 'observers' but I can tell you that ain't gonna happen. Solav on the other hand appears to be willing to assault our Island, although they disguise it as some sort of observing mission also. Needless to say, even if they are genuine. It would make us appear to be weak.... Frail if we let them investigate our business. Therfore I have compiled a defensive plan."
Operation Fort:
Objective: Secure Darwenthia from foreign interference.
Mission Parameters: All costs
In Effect: Immediate
Method:
1: Military personnel will oversee digging of tunnels and fortifications and trenches on Darwenthia by local civilians, Marshal Law applies so any resistance will be death penalty.Officer discretion is advised.

3. 300 Leopard 2A6 tanks are to be transported by Air.
4. A naval fleet is to be assembled around the island.

In the skies
International Airspace

"All units, we are getting closer to Darwenthia, standby for attack." said the pilot of one of the lead MiG-29s. A massive 'air armada' of 400 MiG-29s flew towards Darwenthia along with the transports. It was glorious. Only about 50 of the MiGs were actually Bir Moghreinian, the rest being lent by Sarov while Bir Moghrein provided the manpower to fly them. The Bir Moghrenian operation would be simple, they take the Skelligians by surprise and be done with it. The MiGs were split up into several air groups. The planes got closer and closer towards Darwenthia. The attack against the Skelligian imperialists was nearly ready to begin. "This is Skelligian airpsace, identify yourself or you will be shot down." broadcasted Skelligian radio transmissions. "This is the Bir Moghreinian observation mission for peacekeeping, over." said the pilot of one of the MiG-29s. The planes continued and the Bir Moghreinian pilots stopped responding to the Skelligian radio.

The first blow was coming to their radars and SAMs. The Skelligian radar network on Darwenthia was complex with new, top notch western radar, SAM systems and whatnot. It would be quite a hard task for Bir Moghrenian troops to achieve. That is, if the Bir Moghreinians were not equipped with 400 MiG-29s. The Skelligian radar network fell prey to a new toy, the Kh-38 anti-radiation missiles, perfect for taking on the Skelligian radars and destroying the capability of the SAMs. The missles fired off into the radar networks around the island, exploding in a spectacular fashion as the planes flew past and fired! At the same time, full scale electronic warfare was in effect as An-12PP electronic warfare aircraft flew past, jamming any radar that dared to stand.

It was a full assault as the MiGs flew towards the Skelligian airbases on the island. MiGs engaged in combat with Skelligian MiGs as some MiGs flew above the runway of the airbase and dropped anti-runway penetration bombs, blowing the runway to pieces and making sure no more Skelligian aircraft could take off. The buildings were target systematically, the control tower was to be taken down first, then they struck the hangars, than any aircraft left open on the runways. Now, the MiGs engaged any remaining Skelligian aircraft in the skies.

Meanwhile, the transport aircraft just remained in the air, without any orders as of yet.

1000km Southwest of Darwenthia
International Waters

About 15 old attack submarines of the former Mawani Navy, now Bir Moghrein navy approached the Sarovian fleet. Bir Moghrein's navy was small, but they could be of use during the war in Skellig. The submarines linked up with the Sarovian fleet 1000km Southwest of Darwenthia, and just accompanied the fleet, receiving orders from Bir Moghreinian high command to just follow the Sarovian fleet in it's endevours to destroy the Skelligian navy in Darwenthia. They accompanied the Sarovian submarines deep beneath the waves, and were armed themselves with cruise missiles and got ready for a fight. Three Golf-class ballistic missile submarines accompanied the Sarovian underwater fleet. They may have been very old, but they still did the job.

The ballistic missiles from the old beasts could still do big damage towards enemy targets. The combined fleet sailed slowly beneath the waves towards the island embroiled in conflict that was Darwenthia...

About ~1000km to the south west of Darwenthia

"Fire at will."

The order echoed over every radio system on ever ship within the Sarovian Navy 1st Fleet, and unanimously the ships began to fire off their Cruise Missiles. The first ships to fire were the three Alexandr Nevskiy-class Heavy Missile Cruisers, each firing off a salvo of sixteen Cruise Missiles, totalling at fourty-eight missiles fired. The missiles being fired by the surface vessels of the 1st Fleet had an impressive range of 4000km, meaning the fleet could easily pull back and still have its missiles able to hit the ships of the Skelligian Navy, furthermore, they were sea-skimming missiles that travelled at an altitude no greater than 1000 metres and at a constant speed of Mach 3.2, making them hard to intercept. Another great feature of the missile was the stealth technology and the fact that it carried a complex of electronic warfare jamming devices, both passive and active, which acted as mobile jamming devices, making it hard for the enemy to detect or intercept the incoming missile. As the Alexandr Nevskiy-class' ended their salvos, the five Arkhangelsk-class Nuclear Guided Missile Destroyers began their missile salvo, firing off eight Cruise Missiles each, totalling at twenty-four missiles fired. The missiles altered their path and trajectory in compassion to the missiles that had been fired beforehand to confuse defences on the Skelligian ships and to overwork their tracking systems. At the same time, the two Lakhta-class Nuclear Missile Cruisers and two Svietlana-class Missile Cruisers fired off eight Cruise Missiles each, totalling at thirty-two missiles fired. All the missiles raced stealthily and eloquently towards the enemy fleet at speed, with a high chance of hitting the Skelligian ships, the hostile fleet was in for a rude suprise. As the missiles raced ahead, all the ships within the Sarovian Navy 1st Fleet began adjusting their positions whilst continuing to track the missiles that had just been fired off and the position of the Skelligian fleet, which would have been absolutely oblivious to the incoming attack. At the same time, the VMS Valingrad began launching Cy-51N Stealth Naval Multirole Fighters, armed with a series of Air to Air and Anti Ship Missiles, as well as the highly advanced L402 Himalayas ECM system. A total of 40 Cy-51N's were deployed to harass the hostile fleet, engage enemy air targets and intercept and destroy any inbound missiles that were heading for the 1st Fleet, as well as to maintain general air superiority over the 1st Fleet and later, push for air superiority over Darwenthia in support of their Moghreinian allies, whom would also join the offensive.

Meanwhile beneath the waves, armed with 44 long range guided torpedoes each and also a large quantity of Cruise Missiles, the 12 Vyper-class entered the battle, firing off a large salvo of long range guided torpedoes, each sub fired 20 torpedoes, totalling at 240 torpedoes heading towards the Skelligian fleet, however, the submarines had fired off 10 torpedoes each at each one of the detected hostile submarines, meaning 120 of the torpedoes were heading for the surface ships, whilst the other 120 headed for the submarines. Guided by homing systems and thin guidance wires, the submarines pierced through the water at tremendous speed and stealthily headed towards their targets, whom were all but oblivious to their impending doom. Simultaneously, the submarines had armed their R-29RMU2 Layner missiles, all 24 of them for each sub, and were ready to fire; these Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles carried 10 MIRV's and had an operational range of 12,000km. With GLONASS and other internal guidance systems, and satellite imagery allowing Naval High Command to give the submarines a list of active targets already, the submarine commanders already knew what their targets were and were ready to give the order to fire. The order was given, in three rounds of eight missile salvos, the submarines fired off all 24 of their R-29RMU2 Layner missiles which streaked into the sky. Counter-detection systems and the sheer speed of the missiles would make it hard for Skellig defences to re-act in time and slimmed the chances of them being able to intercept the missiles, also, with all the other Cruise Missiles launched by the rest of the navy, it would make it harder for Skelligian defences as they were being overwhelmed. As the missiles streaked away into the sky, until they were no longer visible, the next phase of the attack began: after travelling at such speed from such range, the missiles would have been in the atmosphere above Skellig in no time, safe from most defences, the missiles would separate and their 12 MIRV's would streak down back towards earth and slam into their targets. All across the nation a mixture of civilian and military infrastructure was targeted: major roads, railways, government buildings, factories, industrial zones, power stations, radar stations, telecommunications networks, military garrisons, air bases, ammunition depos, fuel depos, supply dumps, steelworks, naval bases and ports, mines, farms, bridges, major economic zones and the residences of key government and military officials.

The Peoples Republic of Sarov was not to be taken lightly.

NOVYY-STALINGRAD, NEOSOVETSKAYA SOYUZ
The admiral of the 1st Squadron of the Soviet Navy steps aboard his flagship, the aircraft carrier USSRS Neukrotimyy. He strides purposefully towards the bridge, and sends a dispatch to the fleet:
"All ships are to prepare to launch immediately, set course due west towards Darwenthia"

As the dispatch is received throughout the fleet (comprised of 1 aircraft carrier, 3 frigates, 13 destroyers, 1 corvette, and an escort of 5 submarines), sailors and naval infantry rush to their posts as the ships are prepared to launch. Alarms and bells are heard throughout the major port city as the fleet prepares. Supply trucks and troops rush to the port. Across the country, troops are mobilized to a state of readiness. The fleet breaks into open water about 2 hours later, as it sails for Darwenthia. Troop transports are also prepared to transport the 2 divisions deployed, along with an escort of 5 submarines, 2 frigates, and 7 destroyers. The troop transports and escorts break into open waters an hour after the fleet. The fleet makes full steam west as it moves towards Darwenthia. It is estimated that it will take 3 days to reach the island, however. Sailors and naval infantry on the ships are kept on high alert.

Darwenthia Mainland:
Aware of the threats presented by Sarov,Mawani and Soyuz the Skelligian officers were hurrying up the construction of tunnels, machine gun nests and anti aircraft batteries, So far 25,000 Darwenthians have perished from execution or exhaustion on the job.

By now the 350 Mig's have arrived after their rather short journey from Mainland Skellig taking less than an hour thanks to the jet's Mach 2 speed this was a welcome arrival and raised moral considerably. But still no sign of the Skelligian navy.

The MIG-29's would engage in fierce dogfighting with Sarov and Mawani air fleets, The battle would be inconclusive thanks to domestic anti-air recently erected and due to the fact that whenever a MIG-29 was destroyed another one would replace it in less than an hour. The close distance is Skellig's main adavntage.

Skelligian Sea 1st Fleet:
Admiral Wallace looked around as he saw his fleet being destroyed, fire erupted from the corvettes and destroyers seized up. He sat down at his office doing his best to try and ignore the destruction raining around his fleet, before he decided the best course of action is not to turn around for repairs but to engage the targets. He radioed to the other ships ''Prepare for Missile Launches , Destroyers and submarines engage submarines. Submarine missile launches target their fleet , Over" a thick smoke bellowed throughout the sea followed by blinding flashes, defeat seemed inevitable for a time. After all through the thick smoke it was hard to see and confirm hits.

The Submarines were nuclear armed, but were told not to use them unless there was confirmed nuclear hits on Skellig

Heavily Damaged or Destroyed:
3 Arleigh Burke destroyers:
9 Kamorta Class Corvettes:

Skellig War Council:
General Hawthorne stood up "Our air superiority in Skellig is no use. We are being hit with missiles we have had roads ,and infrastructure destroyed and also lost our entire Agricultural Research Department. We only have one option, we cannot hit them with missiles. We only have nuclear missiles, and even today we should not be willing to begin a nuclear war, It's quite literally MAD(Mutally assured destruction), However we do have Agent Orange we can pack agent orange in to our B2 stealth bombers and spray it over agricultural areas of Sarov and cities. This should cause agricultural destruction, and regretably a generation of deformed children. But this is war, and they attacked our soil first, and have taken the lives of our civilians. What other options do we have"

Within three hours five B2 Bombers took flight , with their stealth capabilities and would soon unleash tremendous amounts of compressed agent orange over Sarov

15,000 Shocktroopers are amphibiously travelled to the Island with the aim of continuing the fortification of the Island

The Kremlin, Novyy-Moskva, NSU

Representatives from all branches of the Soviet government regarding defense and war have met in the Kremlin to discuss possible strategies against Skellig. Premier Matveev is also present.

"An amphibious invasion of Darwenthia is extremely unlikely to be successful. Even if it was, it would be very costly," states Ivan Konstaninov, the Marshall of Neosovetskaya Soyuz.

"What other alternative do we have, Marshall? Air raids would likely render unsuccessful as well, and we have no means of evading any radar they may have. The only way I see is amphibious assault," argues Alexei Kozlov, the Admiral of the Fleet of Neosovetskaya Soyuz. The debate begins to get rather uncivilized. Murmuring and shouting ensues.

"Silence!" yells Premier Sergei Matveev, "Generalissimus, what is your opinion?"

"At this point, I really don't know. Both of these ideas seem rather far-fetched and dangerous. Comrades, if anyone has any alternative, let them speak now," sighs Generalissimus Vladimir Fydorovich.

"Comrades, I think I have an idea," says Marshall of Engineer Troops Niko Alexinov, "It is obvious, as the Generalissimus said, that these two plans are rather dangerous. How about a war of attrition, though? If we can cut off their supply lines -- or even block their trade -- then we can force them to surrender. They can't sustain an army if they can't feed it, correct?" Nods of approval are given around the room, as the Premier speaks up.

"It sounds like a solid plan to me. Cut their trade and supply lines, and we may be able to starve them out," Sergei states, "All in favor of this strategy, say 'I'." A chorus of "I"s are heard around the room, "All in opposition, like manner." There is a brief silence.

"Then I suppose this plan is now active?" asks Generalissimus Fydorovich.

"Yes. This meeting is adjourned," says Premier Matveev, standing from his seat. The room eventually clears out as everyone heads their own ways.

Aboard the USSRS Nuekrotimyy

The admiral of the 1st Squadron sits in the bridge of the aircraft carrier, observing everything happening on deck. A lieutenant steps in with a paper in hand.

"Comrade Admiral, dispatch from the Kremlin," the lieutenant says, standing ramrod straight, handing the dispatch to the admiral.

"Thank you, lieutenant. Dismissed," the admiral replies as the lieutenant salutes and leaves the bridge. The admiral looks at the paper, which is encrypted in the standard encryption used by the armed forces. He heads to his office and sits down at his desk as he begins decryption of the message.

"STATE SECURITY COUNCIL
OFFICIAL DISPATCH
TO ADMIRAL FEDOR ROMANOFF

10/22/16, 1457
The Kremlin has approved an attrition strategy against Skellig. It is to be in effect immediately. Your squadron is to begin trade interdiction once it reaches Darwenthia."

The admiral stands up and heads back into the bridge. He relays the dispatch to the rest of the fleet.

600 KILOMETRES OFF THE COAST OF SKELLIG

The three Nautilus-class multipurpose submarines waited off the shores of Skellig, their missiles and torpedoes ready to valiantly engage and vanquish the little of the Skelligian navy and fleet that remained following the Sarovian assault and subsequent devastation of the Skelligian armed forces at sea, alongside Skelligian industrial capabilities. The leading submarine of the flotilla, the HMS Verne, laid in wait alongside the HMS Aronnax and Nemo.

The multipurpose submarines were a combination of attack submarines and guided-missile submarines, providing a versatile opportunity to deal the enemy a devastating blow from both near and afar.

INT. HMS VERNE

The commander of the HMS Verne, Wilbert Irwin, stood at the bridge of the submarine, overlooking the various crewmembers at work, fulfilling their various jobs and tasks aboard the submarine, the head of communications approaching him.

“We have communications from headquarters, sir. Requesting that we move to red and prepare to launch what we’ve got at the targets in Skellig.”

“Ah, very well. Move to red, then, prepare to launch,” replied Wilbert, the head of communications leaving to fulfil his orders. Minutes passed, the head of communications returning.

“Communications again, sir. ‘Launch what you’ve got, code is two-zero-one-eight-nine-five,’” said the head of communications, Wilbert sighing.

“Give the order to launch what we have at the targets in Skellig, then. Transmit to the Aronnax and Nemo.”
