In the aftermath of the battle, the world took a long look at itself. The many nations met all together for the first time in history, and after a long discussion they all agreed that it was time to put away the guns and weapons, and deal away with war. They promised to do everything they could in the interest of peace. And they kept their promises.
Humanity managed to find a way to avoid any war between nations for an entire Century. Art flourished, culture flourished, the food of the era was delightful. People from all walks of life and from all corners of the globe would frequently meet, and a sense of harmony began to arise. Instead of fighting each other over their hatred, mankind fought their hatred for each other.
This isn’t to say bad people didn’t exist. Bad people find their ways into the world, and they find ways to do bad things. Individual murderers, homicides, revolts, crazy fanatics, suicide cults, exploitation, and authoritarianism were still around, to list a few. Yes, peace reigned for a century, but that's not to say the times haven't changed. In fact, much has happened. Nations have risen and fallen, Dictators have taken and consolidated power, and men and women around the world have fought for their rights. Movements have started and ended, leaders have come and gone, and natural disaster struck, time and time again. For even if Man can avoid killing himself, he cannot write treaties with Mother Nature.
In the last days of the 101st summer since the era of cooperation began, a young man shot and killed the Chairman of the Trotskite Union, who had been ruling for a decade and a half, and was the most well-liked leader the Union had ever had. Nobody was prepared for his passing. The young man himself was quickly found and executed, but the damage he had done was going to shake the world.
Within the Trotskite Union, another young man, with ambition and great dreams in his heart, found his way into the position of Chairman after his biggest rival dropped out of the race, with the death of his mother, and endorsed the rising politician.
Well, his second biggest rival dropped out. Another leader was still staying in the race, and stood a chance at beating him, until the competition was shot, and killed, while giving a speech. The assassin was quickly found, and executed like the last one. The chance was almost uncanny to the populace of the Union. The two deaths, very much like each other, combined with the sudden and odd ‘suicide’ by the Speaker of the Assembly, who strongly opposed the young man running for Chairman, causing a large section of the Socialist Party to start a very strong opposition movement to him.
The young man came to power anyway, despite the attempts of his opponents, and one of his first acts was to expel the dissidents from the party, stripping them of any titles and removing them any position of power. Of course, his enemies were not pleased with the turn of events, and they were certainly not done with their opposition. Sure enough, they took up protest against him. Soon enough, one man was shot by the Police, and the rebels got more violent, until one bombed Trotskygrad, the Capital of the Union, and as every force has an equal and opposite reaction, official war was declared upon the insurgents.
Soon enough, the Armed Forces of the Trotskite Union began to mobilize against the rebels, and this didn’t end well. For the new leader was even more disliked from his purging of the Party, which had never been done before in history. And rash, military action violated the laws of the Union, which the Government is forbidden from authorizing military action unless all other attempts have failed. Everyone recognized that things were going downhill, and the men and women of the Union took their sides, choosing between the law-breaking new leader, and the opposition force. All this in in the last week of Summer.
Nations of the world watched as the last rays of sunlight fell on the Union, and once again it was clear to all that the years of peace were over. When the sun settled on the Union on the last day of Summer, bullets began to fly in the darkness.
Summer has ended...and the fall has started.
So of course, the story that I've set up so far is sort of the spark. As people join, and the powers that be begin to be fleshed out, there should be heavy change around the focus of this RP. The main idea is that there's been a lot of peace and prosperity for the last century, and the whole world has sort of been in this golden age, which suddenly collapses. I'll be OP'ing here, but I'm a pretty liberal person. My main goal here is to just have fun.

(Optional) Briefly describe what the 100 years of peace was like for your country:
Here's my Application so ya'll know my basic description:
Nation Name: Trotskite Union
Territory: Russia, Kazakhstan, Krygyzstan, Belarus, Crimea, and into Ukraine up to the Dnieper River.
Political Ideology: Socialism, Trotskyism, Internationalism
Goals: With my Civil War kicking this off, there's multiple goals within my nation: One faction, the Young Man who came into power recently, wants to establish a very strong central government. The main rebel faction wants to bring the Young Man out of power and reinstitute the weaker central government. A third faction wants to end Socialist society, and put Capitalism into place. And finally, a fourth faction wants to install a more Nationalist Government and create a Pseudo-Democracy to hide their guise of pure Authoritarianism.
100 Years of Peace: My 100 years was spent fairly well. At the start the Socialist State was openly hostile to any Capitalist Countries but over time the Government began to warm up towards Non-Socialists. There was a lot of artwork during the time, and at the end of the last war the Union had lost minor states but over the years there was Re-Integration diplomatically of the minor states, although the Union has not fully recovered it's lost territory.
