I am looking to do an RP about a major civil war in my nation; Zaea. This would be taking place in the early 2000s(2000-2005?). I want this to be a character driven, medium quality role play, so you don't need to write more then a page and half-two pages if you do not wish to, but I do not want this to be a generalist thing. It is going to be characters making choices, reacting, etc.
Who are the Zaer? The Zaer are a group of extremely pale, generally of medium build people, known for their blood red irises. They also a worship a single deity, the goddess Luna. The moon is of great importance to the Zaer, and the iconography of a crescent moon with a dragon is extremely common, appearing in anything from basic wood carvings, to being engraved into the weapons that Zaer carry into battle, and formerly their armor.
The Zaer have been less then insignificant throughout most of history, at times their mercenaries appearing at foot notes in history. The forested nation, while it had a strong martial tradition, was never strong enough to rise into any spot light. Their army was threatening enough that most people left them alone, but wars against the Vamor tribe had always preoccupied the military to a high extent, and still do.
The country of Zaea's downfall began in the 1970s. Its economy began to collapse, and the strenuous control the House of Demore had over the nation was weakened by it's inability to keep crime under control. Everyone knew by the 1990s the country was controlled by the warlord Adren Styke, and in the late 1990s things came to a head. The rising young political figure; Amelia Wulf, backed(with the belief they could control her) by Lord General Anton Carmein, and the house hold name of Commissar Vlare Kastis; , declared herself the true leader, and that the House of Demore had failed.
