How does the government work: His Imperial Majesty, the Son of Heaven, Lord of Ten Thousand Years, Hongli of Aisin Gioro, the Qianlong Emperor is the absolute monarch until his death, when his son succeeds him; or someone of his Imperial Clan succeeds him. If his Imperial Clan cannot succeed him, a different Imperial Clan will. Imperial Clans hold much political power and sway with the Emperor, as well as much military power. The Emperor has many advisers and such on his Imperial Council, who aren't legislatures so much as they are executors of his will and advisers for what he should do.
Government Ideologies: Imperialism, Monarchism, Ethnocentrism, Vassalism (making other states vassals or tributaries).

Foreign Policy: The Qing Empire is the largest and arguably most powerful nation in all of Asia. It has a neutral relationship with Europeans and Indians, but to those of its tributary states, it has a 'dominant relationship' - essentially, they are autonomous colonies rather than outright belonging to the Empire. And areas within its sphere of influence are where the Qing wish to establish another tributary state.
Alliances: Joseon (Korea), Indo-China (Southeastern Asia [Burma, Vietnam, etc.]) are tributary states and are thus by default allied; Japan, sort of, as it is not quite a tributary state but it isn't stronger than the Qing either.
Economic Status: Strongest economy in Asia.
