Her attempt to derive sympathy from the man had failed, but her tears were not fake. She did understand love, but not as most humans would. As for his punishment, he must deal with me until his opinion of me has changed... Ooh... This will be fun.

Sage pushed herself to her feet, a smile of success on her face. The game had been everything that she had hoped for. "Well, Rabbit, would you mind letting me through? If you do, I promise not to attack or harm any of the others. After all, I have already gotten everything that I wanted. Being the proud demon that I am, I must keep my word. I hope that you human would at least do the same. Or would you prefer to still detain me without reason?"

Rabbit watched her curiously, still not certain if they could trust her. "...If I let you leave, Sage, will you promise not to hurt Inari or anyone else? I primarily seek to protect my students, and I will not let you by if you do not promise to abide by your promise. Do you understand?" they asked, standing as she stood up. "If there is no true bad-blood between you two, then this search for vengeance has no reason to continue. Even if there was, dear, there would be no reason to continue. So then, do I make myself clear?"

After Sage had promised not to hurt anyone, Ignis decided everything would be fine and went to leave the place. She strode into the sunlight, soaking up precious Heat. She now looked pale and sickly after having been in a dark space for so long, and she coughed and sneezed. However, her skin soaked up the heat she needed she looked full and healthy again.
"Now, for some food..." She went to the cafeteria to eat.

Suddenly, as they finished speaking, a dark aura appeared in their own hand, glowing a dark-purple in their palm.

"As for Inari, the most I can do is avoid her, for now..."

Sage walked past Rabbit, spotting their hand as she walked. "So, there are more demons here than I have thought... Or they are just a cursed being, she thought to herself. I didn't take them for the type. I guess I really should watch my back while here.

Once she had left the room, she speed up her pace until she had caught up with Ruta. "You left a little too soon," she said to the teacher, looking up at him. Once again, she couldn't hide her mischievous grin as she flicked his nose. "So, I had to decide on a punishment without you being there to hear."

She pushed herself onto her toes so that she would gain just enough height to whisper to him. "Just know," she smirked, "it will be fun~"

"Huuuuu...you don't sound like you're very fun," Ambrosia responded, as she finally finished going through all her clothes. By the time she had put everything in its proper place, her side of the room looked like a neat, posh clothing aisle at a Dillard's. She had more than enough opulent dresses, tops, and skirts for any and all special occasions. She also had shoes and jewelry to go with everything, as was demonstrated by the twelve pairs of shoes lined up neatly in her closet, the fancy jewelry box that she kept on her table. She did not have much as far as casual clothing went, but she seemed fairly comfortable in her fluffy, girly outfits as it was. "You can't just study your life away. You gotta have fun! See the world, eat lots of sweets, chase boys! Do stuff that makes you happy!" she explained, brightly.

Well, now Amanda was annoyed. She didn't exactly appreciate being told what made her happy, after all, and there were better things to enjoy than those. And although Alain seemed to have made the point for her, she couldn't help but to add: "Just because you don't enjoy reading doesn't mean I have to hate it with you."

Bit more tact than she could've used, and she did filter herself a bit. Woo-hoo.

She heard Alain ask about a timepiece, and took out a phone. "Yeah, right here." She said. "It's still pretty early, actually. Not eight yet. Why do you ask?"

"I don't want to be late," I said with ambitiousness, "I want to have some amazing grades, screw my slothfulness.", "Anyway... Hmmm, what to do next Amanda?" I inquired, "Hmm... Let's eat something at the cafeteria perhaps? No?"...

Arin was asleep in the courtyard, still yet to be sorted. Yawning, he stretched and opened his eyes, sitting up and slamming his head on a low branch. "Ouch. Wait, where am I? Oh yeah, I fell asleep in the courtyard last night..." he muttered, to no one in particular. Half asleep, he gathered his things and trudged inside, hoping to find out any morsel of information about 'sorting'.
What even is sorting? Why do I need to be sorted? he thought. This whole damned place is confusing.

Inari

"So, you're awake," Inari muttered, looking over at the boy. "You fell asleep last night, so I decided not to leave you here alone. Are you well rested?" The girl's expression remained pretty much blank as she spoke to him, which was strange for most. She also had remained in place throughout the entire night just so that he, a stranger, wouldn't be alone. "My name is Inari, who may you be?"

Sage walked past Rabbit, spotting their hand as she walked. "So, there are more demons here than I have thought... Or they are just a cursed being, she thought to herself. I didn't take them for the type. I guess I really should watch my back while here.

Once she had left the room, she speed up her pace until she had caught up with Ruta. "You left a little too soon," she said to the teacher, looking up at him. Once again, she couldn't hide her mischievous grin as she flicked his nose. "So, I had to decide on a punishment without you being there to hear."

She pushed herself onto her toes so that she would gain just enough height to whisper to him. "Just know," she smirked, "it will be fun~"

Antonius Ruta

"How adorable. But you know what would be more fun for me at this point?" Ruta asked with an extreme amount of sarcasm, along with a completely fake smile as the fox girl flicked him on the face. "Self mutilation. That is how much you disgust me, Sage." he said, his eyes once again narrowing at her. He truly hated her, and would continue to keep a close eye on her. But it looked like that would be easier than he thought. The demon would do it for him.

This was going to be by far the most entertaining game that she has played. "As for the self mutilation, that doesn't seem like it would be much fun... Wouldn't it be better to do such a thing to another, or have them do it to you?"

The blue demonic flames that made up the blade crackled as she immediately brought it to his neck. In her eyes, she showed both fear and anger. "Swear to me right now that you will never tell a soul. Do it!"

Resting on the steps that lead up into the Solum dorms, Shaun was in the mist of dozing back off the sleep. The cool breeze combined with the soft warmth of the sun was now starting to take its toll on him. With his head nodding back and forth slightly, Shaun closed his eyes for a moment. Just as he was about to doze off, he heard what sounded like footsteps nearby. He opened one eye, leaning on the stairs with his arms folded and looked to see what was making said noise. It was a person, someone that he have, but haven't seen before. It was the same boy that he saw from the docks earlier. He had a tanned olive-colored complexion along with white hair and deep red eyes that seemed out of place with his whole demeanor. It looked like he was coming in his direction. Seeing this as an opportunity to waste some time and hopefully get his mind off of Ambrosia, Shaun leaded up from his position and looked at him until he got close enough; once he did, he looked up at the boy and gave a sly smile to him. "Well hello there stranger." He said to him still having one eye open and still slyly smiling. Hopefully that would make as a good conversation starter. Or a semi-introduction at least.

My version of funny may be different than yours, though... Aside from that, in order for me to succeed in my goal, I'm going to have to stay with you from now on, assist you whenever possible, and help you to understand my race while you help me to understand yours." She smirked and looked into his eyes once more. "And, if you're feeling like this is a little one-sided, you'll be having a cute girl staying with you! Great, right?!"

What the hell am I doing... I'm petting a fox that was a demon just a second ago, and said demon held a scythe to my throat... but she seems so harmless now... and quite adorable.

Before Arin could pet her, however, someone else had walked behind her and picked her up. They then began to pet her, in starry-eyed wonder.

"...Hi little fox..." Soleil whispered gently to Inari, not realizing she was a student or a demon, "...are you lost? Where's your owner?" Her fur was soft, clean, and fluffy in his arms, and he cuddled her against him like a puppy.

I was simply explaining the terms of his punishment for failing to provide a suitable answer to my question..."
