GENERAL SITUATION

It is the year 20X6, the Republic of INDONESIA had splintered into several breakaway region. In the Island of TIMOR, the Warlord GENERAL SOETAR in command of the military remnants had consolidated into a form of dictatorship and is seeking to reunite the Island again by subjugating the rest of TIMOR LESTE which at the time of the invasion was under a Socialist government. On 14 February 2017, a reinforced Army Group totalling about 30,000 troops had stormed the border and quickly annihilated the defense in the AMBENO enclave and the survivor had been taken as PoW. The superior TACOS troops had quickly overran the defenses using maneuver warfare approach and on 29th February, the entire country had fallen and is now renamed GREATER TIMOR. President Ramos Soren and his officials however had escaped by means of friendly nations submarine an is currently in exile in allied United Socialist Nations embassy but he vowed to return and liberate his nation in the future. President Ramos then contacted the USN, appealing before the Security Council and had asked for military assistance, and the Secretary General of the United Socialist Nations had agree to form a Liberation Army. USN standing army, Code Name: RED LEGION had been activated by the then Secretary General of the United Socialist Nations, HUSSEIN IBN MUHAMMED ABDULLAH calling forth member nations of the USN to assist in the liberation of TIMOR LESTE and bring forth the defeat of GREATER TIMOR and destroy GENERAL SOETAR.

Responding to the order of mobilization,TNDRA has quickly mobilized it's foreign combat forces,from fleets to airborne forces,and sets off for the destination.Though landing attack are unlikely to be conducted until allied forces move in.

SECRET IN CHARACTER (Except to Intelligence Asset, if any)

GENERAL SOETAR spies told him that his enemy; PRESIDENT RAMOS has taken refuge amongst international socialist and they had requested foreign military intervention and soon an invasion against his new GREATER TIMOR is imminent. However, the forces under SOETAR is highly motivated as morale is high from their recent victory.

Becoming paranoid and wanting to consolidate his powers even more, a martial law had been enforced; conscription for able bodied WESTERN TIMORESE is in effect; food and supplies is being rationed; foreigners are being watched - those considered to be spies are caught - and non essentials foreigners are told to return to their respectives country.

Enemy PoWs under the former TIMOR LESTE is still being interned and in the process of brainwashing. Morale is non-existent.

Life in occupied Timor Leste is hard; SOETAR forces is enforcing a totalitarian divide and conquer strategy. Radio, television, communciation, internet services are all under SEOTAR's control, and information blackout is total. Soldiers manned checkpoints, and masked militias roamed the streets looking for dissenter; origin of this militias is unknown but they are highly cooperative to the local forces. Special Military Police units took control of former government sector, and all former high ranking officials are under control -those who are considered can pose a threat to the GREATER TIMOR has been 'disappeared', biometric signatures of the populations are being collected. House to house checking is routine, building block must report to local authority on the whereabouts of their people and everyone must be accounted for.

Information center is open up; those under occupied territories can give up information if they lead to the finding of weapons, fugitives or dissenters acting against the new government interests. Carrot and stick strategy. Freedom of assembly, habeas corpus, all suspended. Insurgents are severely punished but those are cooperative are rewarded. SOETAR forces is highly discipline and orders are given out not to harass the populations, but instead goes out to win their hearts and minds by engaging the population in friendly terms. The occupied populations are divided. But as long as they are no severe incident between the occupation forces and the civilians, the TIMORESE only wish to live peacefully.

Populations movement is highly restricted, even moving from one district to another, require strict checking and paperworks. No one is allowed to leave their residency after 0800 PM, and the occupation forces have power to detain those who went out without trial or shoot them on sight. SOETAR propaganda and information warfare is 24/7.

SOETAR regime, using resources captured, use their doubled wealth to buy high end weapons from the black market and international provider; from small arms to tactical cruise missiles. Military patrols in the cities, and outer lying urban areas. Patrol boats and submarines also secure the maritime borders. Abroad, diplomats work furiously to secure international recognition, other nations blamed SOETAR and others right wing decided to provide their support.

Underground movement is hard to be organized, but elements of freedom fighters are forming...slowly.

An international right wing coalition - CODENAMED TACOS - offered their assistance to wipe out the remaining 'communist' scum hiding in occupied TIMOR LESTE.

The USN Secretary General and Sharkan Head of State, Hussein ibn Abdullah, was quick to order the intervention in the conflict to liberate Timor. Its forces were quickly mobilized and the General Secretary has called for soldiers to be sent to East Timor. Plans were quickly drawn and an Order of Battle was made for Sharkan soldiers to join the RED LEIGON.

The plan was quite simple, and that was to push back General Soetar's forces piece by piece from East Timor. The first plan was to liberate the former socialist land of the Ambeno enclave. If the Ambeno enclave was liberated, they could manage to give power back to PRESIDENT RAMOS and push back TACOS forces back into Timor Leste and give the Timorese land back to President Ramos.

Meanwhile at the Sharkan military base in the coast, conscripts hastily reported to their call to arms and got themselves ready to be sent to Timor.

The plans were forwarded to the RED LEIGON forces.

"So now, the President of Timor Leste is hiding in an USN Embassy, asking for help of the USN" concluded the Oberst. The President and Ministers thanked the man as he departed. "I think that we should help" began the President.

"Sir, if we are to intervene, we will need a carrier battle group, and a way to transport any troops. We could also spare a sub or two" began the Commandant of the Royal Navy (CRN).

"Agreed. In addition, we will need massive air cover. Unfortunately, we will be unable to get RAF planes since there will be limited airfields. Naval planes should be equipped for SEAD ops." responded the Commandant of the Royal Air Force (CRAF).

"Yes, definitely" agreed CRN.

"I'd say deploy a Regiment to this area. I've looked over the communications from other USN nations, and they are sending bigger forces. No need to send massive amounts of Vikdenians into a foreign area when the others are sending more forces" said Commandant of the Army (CA).

"The Navy can also send a helicopter platform to help with the invasion" added CRN.

"Thank you gentlemen, make it so" said the President.

Knowing the importance of informations about hostile positions and movements,Tangaliro moved a spy satellite secretly to Timor's orbit space.That way,USN shall be able to gather more informations before launching attacks.

Meanwhile,Tangaliroan fleets are meeting up with other coalition fleets.
