The year is 2020. With Earth reaching its very limits, all nations have banded together to form new alliances and build space elevators. Each alliance has built a space elevator and are planning to expand into space. Three nearby systems have been explored by probes.

Systems explored:

New System
Taria, a planet in the Tarus system has been deemed habitable as water can survive in all three forms. It is about 1.5x the size of Earth and has one satellite the same size as the moon. Tarus 2 & 3 are gas giants and Tarus 4 is an uninhabitable lava planet only 50 million km from the sun at its furthest and 45 million at its shortest. It is 247.4 light years from Earth,


New System
The only habitable planet in the Centurion system, Centuria has an almost Earth like atmosphere with confirmed life. However, none of the known life is inteligente and Centuria is almost double the size of Earth and is 50% land. Two other planets, both gas giants orbit at around 700 million kilometers. Centurion 3 has one satellite which is approximately half the size of the moon. It is 200.5 light years away.


New System
Deis is a system with only 2 plants. It has one planet that has confirmed water, but the planet is 90% land and Earth sized. The other is an ice planet orbiting at 1,700 million kilometers from the sun. Deis 1 has two satellites each the same size as the Moon. It is 324 light years away.

The rapid ddecline of the Eruo in all Eurozone countries, except Germany, has lead to Germany's proposal of a unified Eurozone under one government. In the year since the first annexations the economy has increased and there is less than 1% unemployment in all states even in those that were suffering before.

"As you can see, It appears that Italy and Greece are in a huge economic crisis, Larger than ever before." The advisor said.
"I can see that" said Merkel.
"Their situations is out of control, especially in Greece. There have been many riots and protests. Some becoming very violent leading to people getting injured and even some deaths."
"I see. Perhaps we should annex them and add our 4th and 5th states?"
"That is what this is about. They have noticed Austria's and Netherland's success and realized this is the best option for them and their people."
"It appears everything is working out just as we predicted. Prepare some diplomats and representatives and arrange meetings in Rome and Athens."
"Yes Ma'am, Will do."
The advisor the walked out of the room and Merkel continued to read over the paper work.

"Right away sir," answered his secretary who could kill someone 18 ways with no weapon and many more with weapons. A Glock 18C sat under the desk in a special holster in case assassins tried to break in.
The Emperor was not helpless, but he wanted to be protected. The well armed Emperor's guard and the razor wire fence were a testament to that. He also had turrets on the roof and some inside the building as well. He would not die from anything except natural causes; Probably.

Emperor Alek Morningstar had been in power for a year and a half. He was wearing his robes which were bullet resistant and ornately decorated. He stepped outside to the cheers of the large audience outside of the fence.
"Greetings my subject," he announced and the crowd fell silent. "As you know. It had been a year and a half since I overthrow the tyrant known as Bernie Sanders. We are striving economically with our new factories and population growth. We will be a world power, and our love of technology will make us reach the stars! Science has already been ready for the world, but the world needs to be ready for science. Our nation will be ready for new discoveries when they are made. Not far in the future. That being said, I am pleased to announce that anyone who wants to become a scientist may go to the state universities of technological advancement. I am also pleased to announce that we are going to start building a space station using our space elevator. We will begin construction tomorrow. However, this will not be a regular space station. It will look more futuristic. It will be a sphere with two tips pointing out up and down. We are still working on some aspect, but the shell will be built starting tomorrow. Goodbye," the Emperor said as he went inside.

In the Santiago Aeronautic Space Complex (where the Space Elevator is aswell), the Director of Space and Exploration: San Marco Rodriguez, meets with the head of the Pan-Apollo Program: Dr. Steven Karilson, to oversee the progress on Hylander 1

"What is the progress on Hylander 1, Dr. Karilson" said Rodriguez
"Well sir, the spacecraft has been largely completed but we'll have to tweak the solar sails" said Karilson
"When will the spacecraft be ready for launch?"
"The Spacecraft is expected to be launched next week but we'll see how it goes"

Rodriguez then goes back to his car where he heads for the Federal Space Department Building.

It has been a year since Nauru became a protectorate of the Pacific Federation. Since then, the island is being developed into a world-class destination for tourism, business, finances etc by both Private and Government Companies.

Negotiations between the Nauru Government and the Federal Alliance Government has begun to administer Nauru as the 5th Republic of the Pacific Federation. The head of the negotiations for Nauru is renowned statesman and negotiator Halle van Holeise.

[2nd Imperial Islamic Republic]

Starting at 1:00pm today IIR solders in Isreal (they looked like regular citizens) caused many suicide bombings, cat bombings, and a few on buses, happened all over Isreal. This drawer the attention of the army including those positioned on the boarder. 30 minutes after the attacks began our invasion force attacked the northern boarder. With less defence our tanks destroyed what was left. A few tanks and hundreds of trucks flooded over the northern boarder.
As we progressed we killed every one regardless of weather they were a solder or a civilian.
As they continued south with little opposition. They were attacked by bombers a few times but the main air base was soon overrun and taken over. By the end of the month we will have taken over half Isreal.

Discussions with Italy and Greece have come to a close. Their proposal for annexation by the USE has been accepted and they have been fully annexed and have become the 4th and 5th states of the USE.
After news arrived in Italy and Greece, peacefull protests and riots broke out in a few Italian and Greek cities by patriotic Italian and Greek men and women. If they are violent they will be suppressed. But if it is not violent they will be allowed but ignored. Much of the Italian and Greek armies refused to join ours so they were disbanded and sent home.
10,000 solders have been sent to Italy and a few navy ships are going to be repositioned in that area.
50,000 solders and many vehicles are being moved to Greece.
Our representatives have left for Warsaw and Aberdeen for the meetings.

The leaders of all nations in the PEA sat down at the table of the PEA Conference Center and Hotel, the PEA's new HQ. Vladimir Putin stood up and started to speak.

They spoke for hours about policies and issues, including increasing economic prosperity, protecting cultures, and expanding the PEA's borders.

They also spoke of a possible alliance with the USE and Vogega. Messages to both have been sent inviting them to Paris.

We have Called for meeting with all the nations we have received requests from and those that we have sent out. The meeting is voluntary for these nations and is set for 1 month from now. We have no ideal how long these discussions will go on for.

Angela Merkel arrived in Athens to give a speech to the newly annexed territory. About 2 minutes into her speech she was shot in the head by an assassin with a sniper riffle. The assassin was caught and arrested not long after, he was a very patriotic Greek and hated the annexation of the country. This added more fuel to the fire and there are now more protests and riots in Greece but if they become violent they are suppressed with force if needed by the heavily armed police in that state.

Hans Zachell has taken over because he was chosen by Merkel in case something like this happened. He was the head of economics before Merkel's death.

Orbit over Vogega
The space elevator reached the top where it was anchored to a hollowed out asteroid. The supplies were unloaded by astronauts and drones alike. The pieces were then pushed out the space station that was unlike every other one. Instead of a bunch of modules like the ISS, it was circular with metal sheets premade on Earth being welded together to give it its size and shape. The circular space station had a very small gravitational pull. It rotated at just enough speed to give the people working on it artificial gravity. Building this way was impractical, so the people in charge knew that a material that would harden when an electrical charge was applied.

In a public announcement, the Emperor has told nations all over the world that space on the VSS will soon be available to rent. He has also stated that Guatemala and Belize have shown interest in joining our great nation. What will be done, remains to be seen.

The last oxygen tank was jettisoned. The station was done and now in working order. The sections that still needed to be worked on were being done so, while plants were being potted in the soil and machines turned on. A screening process was being put on. Only Vogegans would be allowed on the space station for now. Marines were stationed on the station with magnetic boots and rifles. A dockyard was slowly being added to the side of the station.

Central America
A blitzkreig was happening, but not with tanks. Cruise missiles rained down as airplanes flew overhead destroying resistance in the Caribbean and central American countries that did not join while they had the chance. Hundreds of soldiers and tanks invaded.
