The year is 2112. While the nations of Earth have made achievements and have access to technology that people a century ago wouldn't have ever dreamed about, their world was dying. The last puddles of oil in the Middle East and Alaska were drying up. The expansive mines were scraped clean of their valuable ores. And the population of the Earth choked it and gobbled down its dwindling resources. The great powers of Earth saw only two options; to start a bloody war on each other, or to look to the stars for a New Beginning.
Using what little material they had left, they poured everything into space programs. Nova Capile spent trillions of Reichsmarks dispatching rovers and satellites to scout out far away planets, as did the other powers. Practically the Earth's entire budget was spent on projects, which were considered humanity's last hope. But humanity is not perfect. They had a chance for a new beginning, but they might end up squandering it too. Some of the more authoritarian nations saw this period as an opportunity to increase their power, and made war across the planet. And other, more extraterrestrial threats might loom too...
Today was both a time of darkness and light. As war raged across the Earth, and humanity desperately gambled on the colonization of foreign planets, it was time for the humans to decide. Would they spend their last days fighting each other because of the petty disputes of their ancestors? Or would the rise to the stars, and become greater than ever before.

Okay, so hopefully you got a good glimpse at this RP by reading the above description. Basically, Earth's resources are being drained, mainly because of huge overpopulation. And naturally, warfare over remaining resources is taking place. However, many nations are seeking a New Beginning and financing a program to go into space and colonize other planets. There is also the possibility that humanity is not the only species seeking a fresh start either...
