Hosts: Group A; Quarterfinal 1; Semi-final 1; Championship

This was the original stadium built by the FACE (Frenlinian Athletic Committee for Entertainment) when it appeared that Gaelic Football was becoming popular in Frenline Delpha. It is one of the more grand stadiums in Frenline Delpha, and it is a beauty to behold. It is named after the FACE founder, Mark Whylet. Beacause of its legendary status, it will host the championship match. It will also play home to Group A, which is the Anacondas' group.

Image
Hosts: Group B; Quarterfinal 2; Semi-final 2; Third-place Game

Named after the Green Hill Mountain range, this stadium is the largest in Frenline Delpha, holding 25,000 fans. It can get really chilly (no pun intended), as the air does tend to get thinner as you go higher in altitude. Overall, there is less air resistance in this stadium, so balls come flying in form further distances. Goalies beware.

Image
Hosts: Group C; Quarterfinal 3

Named after the popular film making studio, Claymen Productions, this stadium boasts quite a few number of seats, second only to Greenroll Stadium. In fact, the stadium is being used as a shooting location for an upcoming film called Gaelic Sporting. The studio payed {4.1 million to buy the naming rights. This is by far the most rural stadium, but it is still easy to get to it, with many buses, cabs, and various bike rentals available.

Image
Hosts: Group D; Quarterfinal 4

Fireman Flapjack Pancakeria was responsible for this stadium. They funded it because the CEO of the company is a huge fan of Gaelic football. It cost about {1.2 million to complete construction. There are several Fireman Flapjack Pancakerias in the area, and there is a booth that sells the specialty food during every match. Also, winds are high in this area, usually blowing towards the southern goal (OOC: that's the left one in the picture).

GAA TV

Rather nice!

James Sheridan: Hello everyone, welcome back to GAA TV. This is going to be Oisinistan's second ever Gaelic Football World Championships, and this year it'll be hosted in Frenline Delpha.
David Malone: Let's recap on what happened in the last World Championships.
J.S: Yep. Oisinistan went through the group stage without a single loss.
D.M: Matthew 'Andrew' Comiskey didn't like Ethanian food. What a pussy.
J.S: We reached the final to be pipped at the post by United Vietussia.
D.M: We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
J.S: Top of the class.
D.M: High quality.
J.S: Great banter.
D.M: Shut up. Now, this year Oisinistan has called up the exact same panel.
J.S: I don't really think John McDonagh has had a great season. His performances in the County Minor Shield were below-par.
D.M: Yes. But I was disappointed to not say Ross Murphy called up to the squad. His performances for Kilmore were incredible. He scored more goals than most players had games this season!
J.S: Don't forget, Ross was born in Bigtopia, and has played under 16s for them, so he's not eligible for Oisinistan.
D.M: Oh yeah! Now, let's look at the groups.
Image
J.S: We've got a fairly difficult group.
D.M: We have Frenline Delpha, the hosts, Swestan, who are unranked, and The Evil Chicken Kormas From Outer Space, who have a team composed entirely of single words.
J.S: What do you predict? I'd say we top the group, then Frenline Delpha, followed by the monosyllablic Kormas, then Swestan.
D.M: In my opinion, Frenline Delpha will make it out on top, then us, then Swestan boiiiiii, and in last place The Demonic Turkey Curry from The Planet Mars.
J.S: Now let's look at Group B.
Image
D.M: Hmmmmm... there's no doubt United Vietussia will make it out on top. But I'd say Caermine will come second, followed by Alphatheta and then Finone.
J.S: I completely agree with you on that one David. Now let's look at Group C.
Image
D.M: Ethane will definitely be the top team in this group. Britonisea will follow, then Yosmar and Hamitltonia.
J.S: Again, I completely agree. Now for the final group, Group D.
Image
D.M: Kaboomlandia 1st, Silvacometopia 2nd, Youhavenofreedomland 3rd and Soviet Catalonia 4th.
J.S: I think Youhavenorightsistan will be a surprise package this year. They could upset a bigger team. But anyway, that's all from us. See you later!

Lord Jambinus Speaks

'Our nation, it has come the time for us to win this tournament. Our first ever international tournament, for which we have sent off our 22 best sportsmen and manager. This is about winning. Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all of the time. Winning is a habit. If you don't feel those butterflies in your stomach now...when we walk out that door, they turn to dragons. Because they get bigger and they get stronger and we use them. And those dragons are going to breathe fire. When you're part of a team, you stand up for your teammates. Your loyalty is to them. You protect them through good and bad, because they'd do the same for you."

"Great moments are born from great opportunity, and that's what you have here, boys. There are a lot of people out here who think you are the least likely team to be successful...Now they're bigger and they got professionals. But nobody can see the intangible with us...be the intangible tonight. Let 'em know. Leave no doubt. LEAVE NO DOUBT.."

"You tell everyone or anyone that has ever doubted, thought they did not measure up or wanted to quit, you tell them to look up, get up and don't ever give up. No matter how bad things go, my heart and my mind will carry my body when my limbs are too weak. Who am I? I am a champion!"

"This tournament is not about the past and it's not about the future. It's about right now. And you guys have gotta want this to last forever. It's all about you. It's not about one person. And that's the journey we're on. It's going to be about us as we continue on...It's all about the prize at the end. Now let's go out there and kick some ass."

*cut to cheering and loud applause*

Nylo TV
Dylan Farraway: Hello, and welcome to Frenline Delpha, this year's host of the Gaelic Football World Championships. I am Dylan Farraway, and this is Zoe Warner, and we are here to give our predictions for the competition's group stage.
Zoe Warner: Silvacometopia's team, the Cassowaries, competed last year, and didn't pass the group stage.
D.F: But this is to be changed with a new format of tournament adopted by Frenline Delpha.

CAERMISH CHANCES?

With the groups drawn we can all be relieved. We fought shy of Frenline and Oisinistan and instead could face Alphateta and Vietrussia. Both countries are obviously no free wins, international betting sites even say that we have around 38% to get out of groups at all! However, it would be a major performance to get out of groups within our first World Championship and a team made from the few amateur teams in Caermine.

We spoke forward Svens Roze:
''This is a decent draw indeed! Vietrussia ofcourse is the hardest opponent, but we have real chances to take second place in our group. Alphateta seems to be in a very good shape, so it will be a very hard mission. I spoke my foreign colleague Franco Schultz from Alphateta earlier and he seemed not too sad with this draw either.''

VIETUSSIA BACK IN GAELIC FOOTBALL

UV 7 NEWS, HANKOW, UNITED VIETUSSIA

Xavier Nogueras took to the practice field today and announced the group for United Vietussia in the Gaelic Football tournament in front of 15,000 select fans. The team is currently the number 1 overall team in a world full of competitors.

"Welcome one and all!" the coach said. "I know I have a college football team to coach as well in the NSCF, but if needed, the assistant coach can handle that! I am ready to lead this great team back to victory!"

-applause-

"We will be playing an ALL UNRANKED POOL!"

-huge applause-

"I predict the following for our group," the coach continues. "Number one...US! Two...Alphatheta! Three...Caermine! Four...poor Finone..."

I agree 100% with Coach Nogueras, should easily be a swift victory...

Rankings link will be posted to the public soon.

2. Us. We have a very good team, and we want to make an impact on the world.
3. Frenline Delpha. They are known well in the sporting world. But not well enough to beat us! Even as the hosts we can still do it!
4. Swestan. Swestan are a team of no hope or quality that one can see.

Image
Prediction:
1. United Vietussia, no competition. They are the world champions already, so this will be breezy for them!
2. Caermine. They have a strong side.
3. Finone. I do not know much, but I am just going to guess.
4. Alphatheta. Ditto.

Image
Prediction:

Image
Prediction:
1. Kaboomlandia. They're experienced.
2. Silvacometopia. They seem to have a good team.
3. Soviet Catalonia. They're an alright team, but they'll probably say 'do svidaniya, amigo' at this group.
4. Youhavenorightsistan. Or soon to be known as Youhavenogoalsistan.

Ethanian Team

Once again, the Ethanian Gaelic Football team will be playing in the Gaelic Football World Championships. After successfully hosting the tournament in the first edition, the team will be flying out to Frenline Delpha to compete for this edition.

After a fairly average performance from the Gaelic Football team in the first edition, even slightly on the disappointing result because it was on Ethane's home turf, a few changes have been made to the line-up for this tournament, while still keeping the best players from the last. This is down to a host of factors, not only bad performances, but the unavailability of many of the members of the first team, either due to retirements, or clashing schedules. It is hoped that these players will not return, however, as there is a general consensus that Ethane really needs to push for a result, and try to obtain a victory of great magnitude in one of these sporting competitions, a feat which has not yet been achieved, even with many outstanding performances from Ethanian teams in different sporting competitions across the multiverse.

Along with a change in players for this tournament, the manager which used to run this team has also moved on to pursue other opportunities in the managerial field, so a new manager has been sought out to train the team, and lead them blazing into this tournament. With the knowledge that the recent Gaelic Football team was plagued with many defensive errors, which left the team vulnerable to attacking onslaughts from other teams, the new manager has decided to change the style of the team to a much more defensive format, playing an even more defensive game than the style used at the last tournament. The hope he has is that this will eliminate, or at least reduce the concurrent defensive frailties that tend to come with this team, therefore boosting the chances of victories in this tournament.

Frenlinian Factation

High Profile Murder Rocks Bloodbenderopolis

Yesterday was a strange time for Frenline Delpha. The opening ceremonies to the Gaelic Football World Championships were ringing throughout the night. Every host city had an extravagent celebration in order to hype up their citizens for the world championships that were coming. Most of the teams had already arrived in their respective cities, and practice fields had been utilized for days on end as the sixteen teams prepared for their first match-day. In the capital, the celebration started with an athletic banquet for all four teams playing in Bloodbenderopolis. After that, popular singers DJ Manky and Goose-Grease held a free concert for all manners of people, from athletes to fans to citizens. Later, country star Cassie Hamtone joined the fray, and she preformed songs from her hit album, Carway Castoff. The party rocked long into the night, and the festivites could be heard from five miles away.

The noise turned out to be the perfect distraction for a murder. When one citizen was stumbling home after the bash, he happened to look down a side street. What he saw "shocked me to my very core." As it turned out, the thing he saw was the strangled, stabbed corpse of Head of Parliament David Starkiln. As it turned out, Straklin was walking home from a resteraunt, and someone ambushed him, dragged him into the alley, stabbed him multiple times, and finished him off by choking with his own jacket. The display was grisly as crime scene investigators arrived. The knife was found stuck in the corpses back, but the assailant is thought to have worn gloves because no fingerprints were recovered. No one has admitted to seeing anything, as most were at the celebration going on about a mile away. The streets were blocked off to allow for the party and were errily quiet for that time of night.

Some believe this to be the work of LEFT, the Liberation and Emancipation of Frenline from Tyrrany. They are a terrorist organization dedicated to overthrowing our democracy. They have stated several times that they wish to crown their leader, James Frederick Kirk, king of Frenline Delpha. This would not be the first time that LEFT has assasinated political figures for their cause. An assassin by the name of Carter Machina was recently executed for the murder of two army colonels three months ago. LEFT has claimed that he was affiliated with them, and he didn't disagree when questioned. If this is the case, LEFT is expected to claim responsibilty before the first Gaelic Football match takes place.

Some individuals also believe that the murder was taken out by an enemy of Mr. Starklin. Several people have criticised him for his inability to pick one side. Starklin was a well admired figure who was neither left or right. He was complemented for his ability to understand both sides of the argument. However, several member of parliament criticised him publically for him not choosing left or right allignment. He's angered both liberals and conservatives with the things he's said during meetings. During the most recent meeting, he critcised both sides during an argument about foreign policy, in which the liberals wanted to completely retire th emilitary, and the conservatives wanted to nuke several countries showing agression towards Frenline Delpha. In the end, some funding was cut for the military, but a peace accord was drafted towards Bigtopia, and it is expected to be signed by President Samuel Snaker in one month.

The police investigation is ongoing, but we currently have no more details on the investigation at this time. Police Chief Gregory Snorbal js expected to reveal more details tommorow.

United Vietussia v Alphatheta

Crystal Ice, FND MSK+7 10:15pm - The first day of the Gaelic Football World Championships brought a disappointing opening for KholmKrieger, with a solid loss to Caermine now on the books. After the generally sloppy performance of several key players--such as Maximilián Messner and Stefanos Ebner--at the open, fans back in the patria are now wondering if the team really stands any chance at all against the highly ranked, very competitive United Vietussia, scheduled for a match later today.

Despite the niche tradition of peil as a sport in the coastal districts, KholmKrieger has quite a few highly recognizable faces returning to it year after year. What fans have been quick to note this year, however, is that many of the incredibly packed bench rotation are not at all recognizable from this particular sport.

We spoke with head coach Kip Jornstein, recently off his international gridiron humiliation, about this and other fan concerns.

Antonina Wetterman, NALd'E: Coach, do you think it's really a good idea that, after that incredibly disappointing loss, you be back out in front of a fairly decent team, likely directing them and our entire nation to further humiliation?

Kip Jornstein: I don't think that's a particularly fair characterization of the issue. KholmKrieger is my own local team; obviously, I'm not going to let them make fools of themselves in front of the world. Besides, they're in a much better place to recover from a day one loss and come out well in the group. It's tough competition, but they've got their heads on straight now.

That's what you said about the last international competition you coached. Why is now different?

KJ: Entirely different sport, entirely different battles. Entirely different motivation, too.

Is part of that motivation sneaking the entire national gridiron team back into the country on the boot heels of the national peil team?

KJ: I have no idea where you could have gotten that idea.

Aren't there, in fact, two gridiron quarterbacks currently sitting on your bench?

KJ: We have some players who cross sports. It's always been true.

Isn't it also true that your substitutes are effectively any entire new team and alternates for that entirely new team?

KJ: We like to be prepared.

Isn't this just a giant visa scam that you're participating at all?

KJ: Look, someone was murdered in Bloodbenderopolis last night. That's a much more interesting story than visa fraud--which this isn't.

Coach, how are you even aware that that occurred?

KJ: Not because of your reporting, tell you that.

You didn't have anything to do with that murder for the purpose of avoiding these very questions, did you, coach?

KJ: If you want to be a real reporter, go investigate that. Have fun. This interview is over. Stop recording.
More on this as it develops and as speculations further deteriorate.

SOLID WIN VERSUS ALPHATHETA!

23 - 13 would be the final score of the first Gaelic World Championship game for Caermine. Unexpected by many of the starting fifteen but celebrated by few of them because tomorrow is yet another interesting match, Caermine will face Finone who just got destroyed by Vietrussia. The other match in Group B was less unexpected, Vietrussia has by far the best line-up and best structures build around the sport and their national team.

Svens Roze (Caermine's LCF) on today:
''This was such a gorgeous game, I'd never expect to feel this good about it.''

Svens Roze (Caermine's LCF) on tomorrow:
''We can't underestimate Finone's strong midfield, but this has to be a win for us if we don't want to throw away our decent chances at reaching the quarter finals.''

GAA TV
Top notch!

J.S: Hello, this is GAA TV, with James Sheridan and David Malone.
D.M: Yesterday, Oisinistan got their first win of the tournament.
J.S: Yep, our possibly easiest game of the tournament finished 2-21 to 0-8 against Swestan.
D.M: My man of the match for that game was definitely Ryan O'Rathilly, who got 2 goals and 12 points, followed by Cian Lynch, Shane O'Neill and Dylan McCarthy who got 3 points each.
J.S: An excellent game altogether. Our next game is against Frenline Delpha, the hosts. David, what are you expecting?
D.M: A win at the very least. We have enough quality to tear the face off Frenline.
J.S: Now David, don't forget these guys are the hosts, and will probably benefit from the home advantage.
D.M: James, you forgot we're the second best team in all of Gaelic Football at this moment in time. In their last game, Frenline Delpha were almost shocked by unranked newbies The Evil Picture Robbers From The Galaxy Beyond us. Anyway, that's all for now. Tune back in soon for the higlights!

LORD JAMBINUS GETS DRUNK ON LIVE TV

What was claimed to be said:
We exist as frequencies.

Transcendence is a constant. Rejuvenation requires exploration.

Consciousness consists of frequencies of quantum energy. “Quantum” means an unveiling of the self-aware.

Only a visitor of the multiverse may create this spark of awareness. The complexity of the present time seems to demand an unveiling of our lives if we are going to survive. We can no longer afford to live with yearning.

Our conversations with other dreamweavers have led to an unfolding of hyper-heroic consciousness. Humankind has nothing to lose. We are in the midst of a consciousness-expanding flowering of wonder that will clear a path toward the planet itself.

Imagine an evolving of what could be. Eons from now, we messengers will vibrate like never before as we are aligned by the planet. Soon there will be a blossoming of empathy the likes of which the biosphere has never seen.

Throughout history, humans have been interacting with the infinite via sub-atomic particles.
Reality has always been aglow with warriors whose dreams are immersed in serenity. Who are we? Where on the great circuit will we be guided? We are at a crossroads of peace and ego.

The multiverse is approaching a tipping point. The current of will is now happening worldwide. We must ground ourselves and beckon others.

What was really said:

*burp* OH SHIT *unintelligible* LOST IN THE FOREST NO FOOD FOR DAYS AARRRRGGGGHHHHH GIVE US THE ALCOHOL EH MATE
*BURP* EFPF; JAMBINUS SAYS HERE *UNINTELLIGIBLE* WAIT IS THIS THING ON
