Miyane is a roleplaying region of many strengths. Miyanic roleplaying style puts an emphasis on development of canon independent of the rest of the NationStates world. This allows us to create a canon that is strongly rooted in realism, and keeps alliances and structures that are out of our national canons out. This does not, however, prevent the formation of inter-regional alliances. The vast majority of nations have aligned themselves with either the Suyuzic bloc, made up of Communist nations, or the Vonzumerian bloc, made up of the Capitalist nations. This Cold War-like scenario serves to enrich Miyanic canon and allows the region to incorporate nations big or small. Keeping realism is very important to Miyanic roleplay structure, as it maintains a sense of believability which makes the development of canon much easier and much more fun. In addition to having an interesting and fairly realistic canon, there is also a hard ethnic canon. This is rare for a roleplay region, and it aids in keeping realism by not putting the Slavs in the middle of the Oghuz Turkic peoples or something of that nature.
Miyane has a strong democratic tradition rooted in the power of the citizenry. A lack of corruption created by the trust within the community allows the voice of the people to be heard. This encourages the free flow of ideas between the citizenry and the government, thus creating an open space for constructive criticism and suggestions to improve the region. All members of the citizenry may run or vote in elections if they so wish. Elections for governmental positions occurs every two months, with electable positions being the executive representative, vice representative, secretary of information, and secretary of recruitment. The executive and vice representatives always run as a pair in elections, though the other two are still separate.
The community in Miyane is very tight-knit and friendly. It is one of the very minute number of regions that has no intra-regional out-of-character conflict between players due to political, religious, or ethnic reasons. The community has no real internal qualms within itself, as the members all fit well into the community setting. There is an air of openness and light-heartedness within the regional community, and as a result one should not take everything completely seriously. The activity level of Miyane is moderate but increasing both on and off-site. The open nature of the community allows the citizenry to voice their opinions to the government and actually be heard, all without the political suppression.
With these ideals in mind, the region of Miyane was established on 12 September 2015. As the region progresses, it’s canon and community develops with it. As the Great Miyanic Cultural Revolution propels the region to greatness and prosperity, we are keeping with the times while still maintaining a warmth not often found in modern architecture. Insofar, Miyane is on the road to a new age. As the region forwards its policies into the fertile intellectual fields of man, no Miyanite shall be left out.
