The Hammerfall Games, Winter 2151 [OOC Discussion, Attn LoM]

In character, The Hammerfall Games are an annual gladiatorial contest hosted in the Sunikagrad Megadrome, hosted in a predetermined season. The Winter 2151 edition will be the first to feature contestants from different universes, alongside gladiators from the native Mechanocracy. Spectating entities will have to wait a bit before the IC section is established, since we in the LoM need to discuss the conduct of the Games (divisions, weapon rules, et cetera). Also, this OP will be greatly expanded as details are agreed upon.
Also, we can guarantee no REMOVE KEBAB or any other such meme-based antics from the People's Technocratic Federation of Singapore, or indeed any of the usual wacky shit about dobrovili-whatever Singy likes to throw in ... on pain of I.G.N.O.R.E-cannon discharge.

Instead of your traditional flat, circular fighting pit, a more three-dimensional arena with a lot of geometry and verticality could spice up the primary melee fight quite a bit, and even more so in any ranged and/or team-based competitions.

Anyway, anyone that makes it to the end will definitely end up like the cities of Kuala Lumpur and Zamboanga. By Kuala Lumpur I mean the physical body is still (largely, 60% or so) intact but the inner parts are like falling out and shit, and by Zamboanga, reduced to the molecular level. As ponderous as it sounds, I think it should be a matter of each participant submitting their challenger and the various details about them. We can then subjectively and qualitatively evaluate their standing, and sort them from there. If need be, we can also recommend upgrading or downgrading their prowess to better match their opponents. All in all, I think that we, as responsible, considerate, conscientious, and cognizant RPers, can avoid the whole childish "IM BETTER I WIN FACK U" type situation without much oversight. That depends on whether or not ranged weapons are allowed in the Games. I'd like to suggest no, but I'll defer to the wishes of the majority.

We could, however, do separate divisions where ranged weaponry are allowed. A couple of ideas for categories I had was a 'giant robot' division where massive war machines (or, with Gigaverse and Ashkera in mind, Kaiju-style biological monstrosities) slug it out between each other, or a confrontation between two or more large groups of combatants. The Sunikagrad Megadrome is large enough to host both comfortably, so go as wacky with ideas as you wish. This is as much your contest as it is mine.

We also need a category for the deus ex machina, which may or may not include OTAN and/or PLAYER as well as anybody Acheronis wants to fire in, the aforementioned Mechanocratic Cybermancers and (if Aeiouia is participating) a Jenei as well.
